John, i ordered that same part on amazon and replaced it in exactly the sake way you showed in your video, but mine still isnt working. Any ideas? Could it be the solenoid itself? (The blue part shown in the video?)

So, what was the "fix"?

I added comments on the other video where you shared the amazon link. I fixed mine just now. One thing I like to add is that, when you remove this piece or sensor then ohm it out to be sure if it is the problem. It read infinity when I touched the two leads and 24ohms when the switched was pressed. The new one read 0ohm when pressed which make sense since pressing it make it a short.

Thank you very much for the video and amazon part link. I just replaced mine after watching you videos. The center console was a challenge since it was not covered in your video and other videos so it took a little time to do trial and error. But overall, thanks for guidance.

i am at that point where the solenoid is grounded so now i have to find a new one. Bad part is nissan doesn’t sell those solenoids by themselves only when u buy a new shifter, so my next idea is pick and pulls

Can you add how replaced the solenoid?

I've caught a lot of nice bass in that area by Kipp Mountain, including my PB, a chunky 24" just under 8 pounds.

It's a micro switch , activates only when shifter is in park, otherwise the solenoid would activate every time you brake

Could you not just complete the circuit so it never requires the brake to shift the gear ?

I can't seem to get Batocera to boot off SD-cards or USB sticks. It works with Retropie on my 3b+, but not with Batocera. Any ideas? I have tried both SD card and USB. And I have tried ver 38 as well.

You could just replace the microswitch. they are about a dollar.

I have a 2014 but the console looks the same. But trying to find the oem part number for my year i can't find the part with the metal arm. Is it the solenoid because the diagram for my year shows the solenoid only being the metal box with blue protective wrap. Do you have the part number

Easy fix my arse,the car looks like a bomb hit it..

I used a long bread tie on my sis's 05 altima UNTIL I find my zip ties. Better than a quote for 800.00 for two solenoids. Chekeye.

My daughter has the same problem... temp solution is to use a small screwdriver 🪛 🙄 😕 to insert in the small slot on top that says... shift loch... It should be titled "shift UNloch"! There was another video that showed it to me.

I just stuck in the emergency release slot a plastic stick from a painting and depressed it down in it and left it there...have no problem shifting now for years. Unstuck

or you could've just gotten one of those electric reciprocating saw (jig saw) and cut off the top part of the white plastic mount, that it drives up to keep the shifter in the lock position. Cut it off about half way. You would still have to push the buttons in to move the shifter.
