Founded by three brothers and their father, Namesake or 以父之名 (which directly translates to “in the name of the father”) is a dialogue between generations. The Taiwan label, from a small Kaohsiung fishing village, uses design as the family’s dialogue to bridge the “Generation Gap”. After the brothers dispersed through Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Seattle to cut teeth in fashion, the family has decided to come together to forge their own family legacy. Sports and heritage characterize the brother’s style. Basketball - the trio’s first love, and Agriculture - Taiwan’s primary industry. With the brand, Namesake uses their own story to combine their passion and Taiwan’s origin to create a narrative started by one generation, and told by the next.
