Usually everyone I talk to about this game says exactly that lol. I didn’t expect this either when I heard about it. My favorite though was all the comments usually being “I love the music to this but never played it”

I personally really liked it and plan to review it and the other modern games in this series. I would recommend it for sure. It’s Atelier Rorona if you are interested in it check it out. They’re having a huge sale for all the games on steam and PSN

So apparently after looking into it. I’ve been told you can. You need to increase your speed to the max as that’s how you can get past the currents but I will say I never tested this. But yeah I loved the game as a kid as well it was fun!

You would be surprised how much things i've eaten that I wasn't supposed to or wouldn't be morally correct so far while playing this.

Legit once you figure out the solution it can be solved in like a few steps. I highly advise to just look it up. Please don’t let this stop you from playing this amazing game. I hate slide puzzles but I would still say this is worth it by far.

Then why did I soft lock myself at the end of the game? Again if they made it idiot proof they sure didn't make it CQ proof then because boy am I beyond idiot then. Again if a soft lock can happen even if they did stuff to counter others it's still worth noting and looking into because again not everyone is going to play the same way. Not everyone is going to do stuff at the festival and I didn't even know the stuff there wouldn't take energy away because every other instant in the game it does so why would I assume there it wouldn't? This just goes to show you again not everyone will know certain things and to just say "well if you did this it wouldn't of happen" is correct but doesn't fix the softlock. However even though I managed to cause that it was entirely my fault and why I didn't blame the devs for my soft lock because I was the one who did it to myself. However the reason why I mentioned to put something there to pick up isn't because the devs didn't do their work properly it's because that's how you can fix soft locks that the player can do if they manage to do what I did. So again while you say it's idiot proof. That doesn't mean there can't be more stages of that idiot gameplay. If you want a good example of a soft lock that the player has to cause that was still fixed. Look into pokemon soft locks as a lot of the older games when they were remade would fix certain soft locks and those soft locks the player had to really go out of their way to do. Like I said I mentioned the soft lock as again it's there and should be noted. Even though I loved the game and enjoyed it the last thing I would want is someone managing to do what I did and then end up saying the game sucks as not everyone will take accountability for just playing bad like I did. That's why I mentioned a way to just plan for this. At the end of the day this game is still my game of the year from that year and I would like to help note any issues so the devs can make the game perfect. If they don't want to put an item there where I said they could. They could make a note or something to tell the player the games at the festival won't take away your energy and use this moment to grind.

@@CQCorruptionQuest I mean they gave you the option, you just chose not to take it because you “didn’t have time for that”. They can’t spoon feed you everything, if a new event or mechanic becomes available, like getting game tickets, then it’s on the player if they do not explore that mechanic. I don’t know what else they could have done besides say “we recommend you do these events if you are low on resources” which, like the save advisory before the church boss fight, breaks the flow of the story. It is just frustrating to hear “they should have planned for it” because they literally did. Little Goody Two Shoes is not a game that will hold your hand, which is why it’s so easy to miss stuff like how to get the tender flesh, or the cult plot line that you missed over not following the prompt to investigate the cave/old windmill. You can soft lock yourself in many points of the game, which is why they have provided so many save slots and give you instructions on the map. It’s ok if you miss stuff and it’s cool that you are taking responsibility and not blaming the devs, but you are asking for something that they have already fulfilled, you just didn’t take the opportunity.

@@tuff2baunicorn I’m not sure why you’re saying my reason for why my soft lock occurred was “I didn’t have time for that” again I didn’t do said events with the game tickets because I was low on resources and assumed it would again take my energy away which is a valuable resource as it did already throughout the game before. Which is why I said if the game is going to do something completely different than what’s been established already throughout the game before then yes they should tell the player that. I also feel just having a text box if we wanted to do that method since they’ve done it before can just have you press a button to skip wouldn’t break the flow of anything as it’s just a text box you can move past in less than a second not a un skippable cutscene. However that being said you can’t just assume the player should explore a new mechanic when the new mechanic is basically changing the way something was already established without saying anything. Again I never asked the game to hold my hand with the fix I provided. I again think leaving a single item just for the chance the player could be at one energy left and die isn’t asking the devs to play the game for me. I also never said they should of planned for it as I said before I don’t think they planned for the player at all to be at one energy and die just from trying to go to the final area because again I’m 99% sure most players wouldn’t play the way I did. Also yeah I did miss certain plot things but that’s not an issue to me. It goes back to again not all players will play the same or do everything. Especially if said thing isn’t even required to reach the end. Again I feel you think my issue with the game is it’s not built for babies but I legit was just pointing out a soft lock that I had happen and even if the devs choose to do nothing to fix that from ever occurring. It’s still fine to point it out and provide a solution. The solution shouldn’t however be “the player is supposed to understand something not explained or abuse multiple save files for the chance to avoid being soft locked” because at that point if the player has to abuse multiple saves for the purpose of avoiding soft locks then that is the game being badly designed. But again you don’t have to agree with me but I just feel your reasons for why you think I mentioned the soft lock aren’t actually why I mentioned it.

Yeah that's still my biggest issue with maneater. I never feel like my bites are heavy and powerful and jaws captures that bite force really well.

I would honestly say if you're a fan of the horror that yume nikki brings then this would be on the same level. Less jump scares and more unnerving imagery and situations

Yeah the only jump scares I can think of is the tree scene I mentioned which wasn't really all that scary even for me and I guess when you die it can come off as jump scare kinda but overall I can say you can play this game with your volume at max and not get your ears damaged.

Yeah I always try to either warn if I'm going to show a death jump scare like I did in my hellnight review or not have them at all. I personally hate loud in your face jump scares so I try not to do that to people who watch my stuff.
