Next time u should do used brake change bc u need to explain having to wedge the caliber back so you can fit the brakes in it but other than that awesome but come on now video
Power tools!!!
Is this a 2 cylinder or 4,?
I wasn’t aware that you’re a Darksider. I guess it works well when you ride 2 up. I never had the stones to try it, myself.
Hi friend, did you use a car tire on your Royal Star? what measurement did you use?
What tuner is your buddy running with his pipes
None
Very useful video, thanks Frank.
Great video man, thank you
just bought a 96 royal star 1300. sat for a while so front calipers are seized. the calipers have 4 bolts, not 2. i removed 2 and then started on the 3rd and brake fluid started leaking so i replaced the bolt. what is the proper way to remove the caliper so i can free up the pistons.
Quit with the music already ffs
Great video. I just replaced my clutch with Barnett. And I followed your video. But now my clutch lever will not pull in at all. Any ideas ??
Great video. Thank you.
You make it look easy
Is that a car tire on the rear?
Y dint u half to squeeze it in with a c clamp??
I’m gonna do this as soon as I buy pads
I’m gonna change my rear brake pads on my royal star
I hope after all this he put a V Max clutch in ! Works way better than the original!
My bike was acting funny today. When I shifted 2nd and 3rd gear I pressed the gas and it had a 2 second delay befor it grabbed and speed up. I hope clutch is not going out
I have a 2006 1300 cc, 5 speed that has the whine in it. Does this solve the problem?
Im ready to change the oil myself now on my Yamaha 1997 royal ⭐️. After I do that I will learn how to bleed the rear break.
I have a 97 Yamaha Royal Star or Road Star (I got both I just forget which I am working on at the moment..) Does the transmission take any fluid or does it work off of the engine oil? If so how do I check it?
Hey, just so you know you’ve actually missed one of the oil drain plugs, there are three drain plugs, the main one under the oil tank, and then there’s one directly behind the kickstand, and then there is one just behind the oil filter, and then the oil filter drain.
Nice job. Changed the clutch on a '01 650 vstar a while ago. Ugly job where everything from the corroded exhaust manifold nuts to the foot rest and rear brake pedal, engine side covers with oil filter and gaskets had to come out. Made the job much longer.
I puked after 8 minutes of wistle.
Your video is very interesting but lose the background music
By chance do you have a car tire on the back
Yes I do get me about a good 65,000 miles on it.
Would you be so kind to tell me the brand an tire size? Is it that noticeable of a difference in handling
As painful as that was to watch is was very informative thanks bro!
Isn’t there a ring that goes between the springs and the bolts. At least my 1100 Barnett clutch spring does. Just wondering?
Notice the clutch access. No need to remove saddlebags or seats or gas tanks or any plastic or fairings. Try replacing your clutch on the side of the road or in the parking lot of the motel you stayed in parking lot using just your tour kit tools on a Goldwing.. This is the main reason I do not own a Goldwing, but I am on my third Yamaha Venture right now. Serviceability
Can i ask you what kind of brush you ide for telové old seal? Thank you
Based on the comments I'm concerned that people are blindly copying this oil change video that misses such vital points as the crush washer.
You still got your bike and trailer?
Yes I still do
I found that more old oil drains out from the 2 side plugs when the bike is on the sidestand, not straight up. Otherwise, good video.
How to bleed the clutch I have a 2008 royal star venture 1300? I've tried several times and it's still spongy. Can't roll my bike in first gear.
Is this a similar process to the 08 vstar 1300 tourer?
Aporeciate the video dude. I love the venture. Most underated bargan in the used bike market
Just did this on my 07 Royal Star tour deluxe. It's a pretty straightforward job. Folks if you want to keep your pipes oil free, shake of the excess oil when removing the clutches and clutch plates from the container you soak them in overnight. Also, wrap that part of your exhaust with saranwrap to keep the oil off of it. Just don't forget to remove it after. I'm happy with the clutch upgrade, it has a better throttle response when you accelerate. It pulls a bit harder than it did with the stock clutch.
Thanks
Dude...I have the same bike. I have problems. Dunno WTH but I'll figger them out. Pretty sure I need another motor. Might be cheaper. Liked you video, any info about these "Sleeper Ninja's" is helpful. They under rated these machines. Mine does 168mph with throttle to spare!!😁 might be why it rattles. Like you said...bad maintenance prior to purchase, buns me out! Take care bro, I'll fix it! Keep up the good info page.
Thank you sir , am new on bikes so it help me a lot 🙏🙏🙏
Do you still have this bike? I bought my 2009 Royal Star Venture last year in May and I love it.
I'm about to change my break so I thank you for this video, I had scraping noise and then when I put pressure on the back brake the brake pedal start bucking back at me so I think one of the pads is loose.
I am looking at doing this with my 2006 with 134000 kms on it. Slipping at hard acceleration. What is the part number for the gasket you used?
What are the part numbers for all those gaskets
That would be a lot easier for using extension on it and without the swivel.
Always wanna change your oil pretty much a lot. 😀
thanks for this video. Simple, clear and no useless filler gum flappin'.
I like watching videos about our bikes and to check out different ways of doing things. I liked the way you explained everything with detail and in a clear manner. That music in the background was pretty nice too. Keep making videos as good as this one. Have a great year
