Nothing in life prepares you for loved ones passing and I know that from my own experiences, it will stay with you forever. I commend you for openly talking about your loss and regrets and being honest that takes some doing. Its strange that we all feel young at whatever age we are (am 57) but something like this makes you feel grown up and in a way your a man now not the boy and you feel the need to be more adult and caring about who's around you and not the material things in life. Just sat and watched this and very thought provoking stuff. You’re not over thinking, just trying to work stuff out that we don’t understand etc. I have been doing that most of my life. So sorry for your loss mate ....can I say one thing on your video which you picked up on.... you said if you know whst your doing you wouldn't be watching this channel. Well I've been fishing as long as I can remember and I would like to think I know what I'm doing but I still watch your stuff as said before yours is the only video I look for before anything else and I think I know why .. all these new wanna be super stars on UA-cam film to get paid while fishing and make some sort of name for themselves even if they don't have a clue. Where as you've got the experience amd have the fish to prove that what your talking about works and I think it be a shame if we left UA-cam to just these wanna be's ...

I’m sorry for your loss,I’ve lost my parents over the past 10 years. It is hard,I still haven’t grieved for my parents yet all you can do is to look back on your memories of her. Getting back to fishing is helping with my mental health and my autism. Take care 😊😊

Make sure you take a bit of time out to take your mum round that garden center. The older you get, the less time your elders have, so always make time for them.

Sorry for your loss Andy,I lost my dad 16 years ago we went fishing together weekend after weekend and loved it. I stopped fishing for 13 years,it’s only in the last 3 years. It was videos/channels like yours that got me back into fishing now I’m back loving it,I always either take my dads rod or reel when I go fishing now so he’s always with meI.I’ve never met you in person but saw you at mappleton this year at the EOBC. Keep your chin up and the content to you channel

I feel for you andy much like you i was brought up by my nan and grandad i was a right little shit i feel bad for what i put them through, she passed 2 years ago it still hurts today, the best thing to do is get the rods out, i have used fishing as my therapy since the age of 7 it helps my brain massively I'm 33 now and still use it as a distraction from my own mind, if i cant get out im tying rigs cleaning reels ect, it does my mrs head in but helps me, all the best to you 👍

Heartfelt, I've never met you personally, but ran into you Nick an the rest of the "red tops" coming bk from a rock session. I lived in Plymouth till divorce moved further west happy in Cornwall now. My Gran was a saviour for myself and my brother, big box of Lego kept us busy. We're both sea angling addict's and it's been a godsend. To appreciate nature the quiet moments an the exhilarating catching moment's,,,,, it's kept us grounded and out of trouble ever since. You're Gran will be watching over you for sure,,,, stay positive and get ready for some amazing catches. I'm certain this podcast will resonate with all us sea anglers. We are a special bunch,,, I mean we spend time money etc on fishing a diminished wild fish stock,,, yet we still go out and be there on rocks beaches estuaries when most are sleeping. We do it because it's within ourselves and you cannot explain to non sea anglers why we do it. Tight lines all 🎣💯❣️

Yer sad days for you and your family. That's what you got to do is speak remember the love . If your nan gave you that love that's what you must do remember the love. My dad past away 3 year's ago I have not properly got over it, or even picked the rod up The modern day diagnosis it's called A,D,H,D...

Sorry for your loss mate. I lost my mum 2 years ago this week and it is so painful. But life goes on mate. You will hurt deeply the pain does ease as time goes on. You will always feel love in your heart for them. And you get days where you see or hear something that makes you cry. But you must go on mate and get on with life. They would not want you grieving forever they want you to carry on with life. Because what you have learned from this experience is life is short and we are fragile and not on this planet forever. It’s not a practice run it’s a one time thing so do what makes you happy and enjoy what time you have left my friend

andy, it’s not an easy thing to deal with. i lost both my grandparents within a couple months of each other. keep your head up mate. love the videos you make i’ve learnt so much from you and your videos. keep up the good work and keep your head up.

Hi Andy. Loving all your vids. I've used the electric tape method for grip on my rods, I have to say, so simple, and very effective. Like you, I had to have mine all equal, as it would've done my head in otherwise 😂 Andy, whats your opinion on the Harison sea rod range? I've heard the torrix Q3 is meant to be a lovely casting rod, and fishing rod. I have had Conoflex rods Zipplex, but mainly fish with Century rods now. All the best Rich

is the 525 GS a tricky reel since he hasn't got any sort of magnete ?

Would love to master the roll over been looking at it for a while now but trouble is when I try it is getting the swing right to roll over. Just a thought if putting a black poke float behind lead one might be able to see position and path of lead. Nice very good vids right up my street. Been pend or trying to since the early eighties I am 70 now and still learning and still love it.

Lads. Looking at a pair of t1000's as my casting is getting alot better past year. Currently use a pair of 14 ft gt blades. As im a short arse 5.7 im thinking the 14.10s are gonna be too long. ? But would luv to have something a bit stiffer. That i can use on a feild. Ttr maybe. ? Not sure.
