Also, you show 1958 models, instead of '55's!/ To me, the most famous Thunderbirds were the two-seater '55-'56-'57 ones & not the full size '59 models! The '51 Hudson's were 'clunky' looking, even in '51 & 1955 was the best all-around year of the 1950's!

My favorite race car of all time. As a boy I was 12 when I first saw Richard Petty’s blue #43 Plymouth Superbird at the Atlanta Speedway for the November race. I remember Petty won the pole and the race that weekend. That car was amazing in design and in aerodynamic performance. Today, I still am amazed when I have the opportunity to see one of those Superbirds in person. The design of the entire race car body say…”GO FAST!” And those big 426 HEMI engines that Richard’s brother Maurice Petty were so loud and powerful. The remaining Plymouth Superbirds and Dodge Daytonas race cars are national treasures for NASCAR fans everywhere.
