    Where are you at? I'm going to Galveston next October for a crabbing vacation. I'd really like to be successful. I heard a UA-camr say that the best crabbing are months ending in "r?. Is that true in Galveston? I can't remember where the guy was from. He may have been from Florida which has much warmer whether than Texas.

    I hope that little female crab made it. She sank like a rock, upsidedown. She was scared frozen. Everytime she was touched, her swimmer fins would just quiver. Poor thing.

    We would to enjoy your if you could add cooking some crab menus.. please let us view the beauty of the surrounding as well. Congratulations for a good catch. I appreciate as young as you are obeying the standard measurement of crabs to catch. I just wish we practice the same in our country For sure everyone could enjoy the harvests of nature if we get only enough of what we need. More power and God bless! - ❤ from the Philippines

      Pull them at a steady rate. The trick is to pull them as fast as you can without them letting go. If they let go, next time pull slower but always at the same rate.

    Just a little trick. If you put duct tape all of the way around the bttom , about 2 from the weights, you'll catch a lot more shrimp per cast. Check out 'The Old Couple Outdoors or 'Tug Trash Outdoors',. They have videos on how to set them up.

    • @dalmanza
      @dalmanza 7 місяців тому

      Wait.. I just checked California Fish and Wildlife website. It says that there is no minimum size limit! It has always been that they have to be 22 inches to be legal. Can anyone confirm? If this is true you are good to go on the size. However, be aware that there is a bag limit of one.

    • @dalmanza
      @dalmanza 7 місяців тому

      Okay, looked again. Pacific Halibut are basically San Francisco and north. California Halibut are the ones in So Cal waters. The California Halibut needs to be at least 22''. Bag limit is two. Anyhow, liked the video!

    • @exe3091
      @exe3091 7 місяців тому

      @@dalmanza really wish I could catch some Halibut but all we got is flounder down here. Legal size is 15 in Texas with a bag limit of 5 I think. Oh well, gotta make do with what you got 🤷‍♂
