I enjoy just about everything "outdoors". I try to drag along a camera, but I'm definitely not a professional videographer!

Excellent instruction and idea
Thanks! I’m glad you liked the video! 👍🎣👍🎣👍
I will be building one or two of these.
Nice build, useful. I agree with another that gluing is much easier than bolts.
I also agree. That’s part of the fun. Try a design, get input from all of you, and make improvements. Thanks and good luck fishing!!
When are you going to use the lews 60 reell or did it failed???
Sorry I never did an update. The reels are still working great. Easy to clean. Smooth drag. I’ve purchased 3 more since the video. 👍👍🎣👍👍
Watching you harvest is always so calming.
Cel mai simplu...felicitări dom'le!!!
I’m glad you like it! 👍
Super tare....❤❤❤
Fine job on the mold. That’s worth the subscription. What did you use for the locator pins ?
I just used 2 steel pins that were in the shop. There are 3 extra holes for 1/4” bolts and wingnuts, but the clamp works better. Thanks for watching!!
Instruction is clear, nice and simple.. thank you so much for this tutorial
Glad you enjoyed it. Good luck fishing! 🎣🎣🎣
Can you make rod holders for bank fishing, with a auger on the end?
That’s a good idea. I’m gonna run to Home Depot and look around. Maybe convert an auger that is made for a dog lead??
Well, sorry!, We made these and in theory , good concept, but it was a bit of a pain to to get the rebar and pvc tube at the right mating height, at river bank. Cogging , jambing with sand issues, and rods still want to turn with river current. Rod holder itself and angle is great.
Maybe it will be a good start for a new design. Hope you find something that works better in your area. Good luck fishing 👍🎣👍
Is that 2” pvc?
It’s 1 1/2”. You could use 2”, but the rods are going to be pretty loose inside. The 1 1/2” gives me plenty of room even with heavy catfish rods. 👍👍
I'm in brother, good job!
Thanks! 🎣👍🎣
This a fantastic rod holder!! I just came on to this.
Thank you! I’m glad you like it 👍👍
Nice!
Thanks!
love it and very easy i made 2 of them , thanks
Thanks for the feedback and good luck on the water!!! 🎣🎣
Well it’s one way of doing it 🤔 but so much wasted space. 1. Why do rebar pipe outside so doesn’t take away from being able to add water? 2. Why not silicone the two pipes inside at base and screw holes so can add water to it? 3. I just don’t see any purpose for having that bucket space not be used for storage, bait, or bringing back lunch.
All good ideas. I can store 3 Plano boxes, cast net, skeeter dope, flashlights and a water bottle. Making the bucket water tight would work for different applications. Thanks for your input! 👍👍
@@KCLOutdoors my bad forgot about a bucket actually carrying stuff 😂 Ya your idea works great 👍 great video
🤣🎣🎣👍
I fish in the ocean, so adding some water to the bottom may be a better idea for me, must admit, this seems like a great idea....thanks
That sounds like a great option. Let me know how it works out for you! 👍🎣
PRO TIP: They sell pvc glue to seal those together.. It's strong! It's way easier, then nuts and bolts.
I agree. I went back and glued everything. Thanks! 👍
Bend a 3~4” 90 on pipe for easy pulling out of ground
Great idea. Thanks!!
Hi. Michael Jaftha l stay in south africa. Smart idea. I like it. Well done.
Thanks. Good luck over there in South Africa! Catch a big one! 👍
Nice design. Good job 👍👍
Thanks! Glad you like it 👍
wow cleaver!
Glad you liked it!!👍
I like that you throw the small ones back
I always try to let the little ones grow up. It’s an investment in future fishing trips!!
What a great idea sir thanks
Thanks! Good luck fishing!!
Really like it could u comment on here a material list of what i need to make one
Will do.
@@KCLOutdoors can you mention me in it when u post what i need to make it
@braxtonball2662 Here you go… 3) 1 1/2” T connections 1) 1 1/2” to 3/4” reducer / Threaded 2) 11/2” pieces cut at 2 1/4” and 3” long 1) 3/4” pipe cut to desired length I used machine screws and glue to secure everything. I’m sure only using glue would work, but I wanted to make sure everything stayed together! Thanks for watching!!
Great job sir,txs alarge🙏
Thanks!!
What area is that if you don't mind?
We fish Buttonwood, White street and Orleans Park. Good luck and have fun!!!
When will they start running this year Sir?
Very very nice!!!
Thanks. I appreciate that!!
What size line did you put on it?
I spooled it with 65 pound braid . So far so good!
Great idea❤
Thanks!!
Pretty good idea 💡 thank you hello from Texas 😊
Glad you like it. Good luck fishing down in Texas!!! 👍
Thank you. I'm making one to use in my kayak. I'm using a hunting bucket with a seat for a lid.
That’s a great idea! Thanks for sharing !👍👍👍
Awesome video new sub here 🐠🎣
Thanks! Glad you liked it 👍
Love these rod holders and the price is the best ...
Thanks. Glad you like them!
Excellent idea, I would rather not put the spike thru the bottom of the bucket but fill it up with water instead, you can then use the water to clean your hands after putiin on new bait every time.
That’s also a great idea. I think I’m going to build another one and add a power box with lights
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for the DIY.
Glad you liked it!
I made this and it worked. it worked so good the fish tipped the bucket over and I almost lost my rods. lol. So I wrapped a Rope around the bucket and now I anchor the bucket in with tent pegs or a long pole. Cheers.
Glad you didn’t lose any gear! Did you use the rebar on the inside to anchor the bucket? I usually pound it in about 4”-5” for stability.
@@KCLOutdoors LOL This is a very crucial step to not forget ... cheers. hahaha
Only loosen you drag when rod is in stand. This should be done at ALL times.Seen many a rod being lost because of locked drag.
👋👋👋👋👋👋
Thanks!!
Thickness of rebar ?
I used #3, so it’s about 3/8”. #4 is pretty tight inside the PVC. Hope that helps!
I thought the idea of using a bucket was to be able to carry other supplies? You left no room. Just a bucket that singles as a rod holder. Nothing else
Actually, I fit 2 Plano boxes, paper towels, sinkers, hammer and bug spray in the bucket. Plenty of room to store things. You can customize it any way that works for you. Thanks!
Size of hose clamps. ?
I think those were 3” hose clamps. Simple and effective. Thanks for watching!!
Excellent idea mate I'm actually looking for sand spikes but great video buddy
Thanks. I’ve never fished off the sand, so I’ve got nothing. I will someday!!
@@KCLOutdoors you wouldn't regret it buddy once you start. It's great to know you don't know what 1 bite is to another You have brought some great ideas in to my mind though mate that will work cheers for sharing.
How much did all the materials cost?
Right around $6.00 total for PVC parts. Under $3.00 in hardware. Plus the bucket. Basically $10.00. Thanks for watching!
If your not an educator, you missed your calling. Great demonstration video. Thanks
Not an educator. Just like tinkering around with things. Your comment made my day!!!
Awesome demo
Thanks again!
What a easy way to set it up
Thanks. Glad you like the idea!
Im going to do its myself when I get home.
Neat idea which has given me some other ideas for mods. I'd like to be able to put a lid on the bucket so everything stays self-contained without spillage as you trek to your fishing spot(s) which are sometimes not easy to get to. To accomplish this I think I am going to incorporate a 90 degree corner bracket to the outside bottom bolts using a wingnut, then drive a tent spike through each such bracket to secure the bucket to the ground. I'll also have another tent spike and a short piece of rope to attach to the handle which will be positioned on the opposite side of the bucket and driven in to provide a 3rd anchor point. To make everything fit I may have to shorten the lengths of the PVC tubes slightly, but envision everything fitting inside the bucket and staying put once the lid is in place (including a hammer or hand axe for driving the stakes). Again, great idea and thanks for the inspiration! Thinking even further, holes could be cut into the lid to allow the PVC to pass through the lid which can be left in place to provide a small surface for tackle, bait cutting, drink, etc. Lots of potential and if/when I get some of these manufactured perhaps I'll post some pictures.
Great ideas! Let me know how it turns out!
👍
Glad you liked the video!!
just fill it with water and it shouldnt tip over
That’s also a great option!
