Reversed polarity of used battery - how come?

Can anyone explain this? I took two used batteries off a device and routinely checked if there was still some charge left. What I have never ever seen before: one of the batteries showed a _negative_ charge, i.e. its polarity was reversed 8-0 For comparison the video first shows a new battery, then one of the used ones with normal level of discharge and then the "negative" one.

Very simple analog circuit I needed for a 12V power switch LED. It also shows the car batterie's state of charge, because it's frequency (and duty cycle) is voltage dependent. Habe ein paar kleine Szenen von unserem Offroad-Training bei Land Rover gefunden. Derzeit vermutlich das letzte Mal, dass man das im "echten" Defender machen konnte. Die Abfahrt, bei der der Disco aufsetzte, hat man im Defender fast überhaupt nicht als "kaputt" wahrgenommen - fast ein bischen langweilig ;-)

After heavy rain, the river had completely changed and we tried to safely leave Thorsmörk, accompanied by the camp site warden, the bus and two other Defenders - thanks guys! The first significant ford was the Hvanná ("Kwennau").

Thanks. With help from local experts :-) The next ford, Steinholtsa, was a bit easier but nevertheless fatal for a young woman :-(
@@frank-lr The rivers in Þórsmörk, are not to be joked about. They have taken quite some lives so far. And killed a bunch of cars. Loose bottom, very strong current. The trick is to let the current kind of push you over.
