Life through the eyes of a man still trying to cling onto his youth.
Learning to ride MTB, trying to remember how to ride BMX and trying to encourage the kids to be awesome.
Go fast, hold on, hope it works!

Hitting the biggest jump in the bikepark!
As my search for bigger air continues, I headed out to Chicksands for a ride.
In my mind I really wanted to hit the big step up on the Bull Run but wasn't sure if I could get my head round it.
Here's the vid which got me pumped and helped me pull the trigger to end the day.
Great day and great to join the big jump club!

Exploring the new trails at Dirt Farm

Day 2 of the Wales weekend saw us at Dirt Farm. I wasn't feeling it in the morning but after a bit of a session on Tidy Darts the day soon picked up. The team at DF had revamped Brown Pow and tidied up a lot of the lines over winter so it was great to see what they had been up to and to see the new li e being tested.
Battling the Blacks at @BikeParkWalesOfficial!!!

Spring has sprung and it's time for another Welsh adventure. This video was a day hopeful of riding the new A470 but it was still closed, so we hit a load of the black trails in an effort to try and start hitting some of the bigger jumps Wales has to offer!

Southern Enduro at Twisted Oaks! My first race!
Was only here yesterday, this is 23 Jump Street?
Yeah, that's it! Those hips!!!!!!
I take magnesium tablets for my quad and calf cramps, also plenty of bananas
Yeah, bananas give me heartburn so have to be careful with them. I'm usually fine but didn't drink much through the day so it's my own fault
Sick dude !!!!!
Cheers dude!
Fair play that jump is so much bigger and scarier in person. Smashed it!
Thanks! Was definitely a little scared but the run in made it seem so easy 😂
Cheers
No problem! Hope it helped!
I’ve been thinking about going there but I wanted to see more of what the less challenging jump lines look like, I’m ok up to double bike length tables so I think I’ll be ok
Hello, yeah you should be ok. There's plenty of other videos of Dirt Farm on my channel, we were there every few weeks a couple of years ago 😂
🎉🎉
Mate............... i'm like 40 mins away. Where was the heads up ?😎😎😎 Sick videos though. I feel your pain, I just bought a Stitched720. It felt like pants on first outing, depressed me. Second outing though, i was flying
I messaged you about this one, dude. 🙂 Takes a while for me to get the vids out online 😂
@@midlifecrisisvlog in that case I wholeheartedly apologise. 😍🥰
Wales next Sunday ?
@leehorspool9744 I cant next weekend. Probably heading to Phoenix on the 16th if you fancy it
@@leehorspool9744 😘
Thanks mate. Been trying to figure this out on my codes and this makes so much sense. Cheers!
Glad it helped!
Awesome watch, looked like a mega day!
Yeah it was good, thanks. Started slow but the little session we had on Tidy Darts really turned the day around 😄
beaut of day boss
Was awesome to get some riding done at a great bikepark and in short sleeves!!!
Am booked for an uplift sesh here this weekend. Should be interesting, cos av favoured tech over flowy jump stuff of late.
There's more of the flow stuff but there's also some tech bits. The refurbished Brown Pow is a great mix of flow and tech! Have fun!
What bike park is that Because I want to go. 👇🫶✌️
Dirt Farm, Wales UK
Which bike park is that because I want to go 👇👍
It's Dirt Farm in Wales

Give this man more love idiots 😢 👇😊
Great tip 👍
Thanks! Helped me a lot, so wanted to share!
Has it reopened now?
I'm hoping it will be open this week as I'm there again at the weekend. BPW have been teasing it on their Facebook discussion group this morning so hopefully that's a good sign!
@@midlifecrisisvlog I'm going on Sunday also. Surely it's dried out enough now!
Yeah, im there Saturday so as long as it stays dry for the week they may get it open. I'll try to get a vid up on Saturday evening if it is!
Still not open today 😕. Had a quick walk through the top section and it looks 👌🏼 Have a good day tomorrow!
@@midlifecrisisvlog Yeah gutted. Blackadder was nice and fresh though!
I'm there tomorrow, i cannot wait
Awesome! Have a good day! Hope the weather holds out... 😬
So cool! Underrated bro
Thanks!!
Who is that youre riding with in first clip, the guy upfront, I recognise him
Joe Oliver and Dean Hill. Some of the skatepark lads 😁
Not a hack, just proper maintenance how it should be done. To get the best bleed on sram brakes two syringes are a must to push and pull fluid through the brake getting rid of any air with the calliper syringe after disconnecting the lever syringe
Thanks for commenting! It's true, unfortunately not so many people are happy to tinker with their bikes these days.
This is totally dumb.
Eveytime I disconnect the syringe and replace the screw oil goes everywhere and lever still feels spongy 😩
The screw on the caliper? This should only be loosened not removed. If you mean the lever screw, this should be fitted to the correct torque before you use the pressure hack. If the lever is still spongy then it would indicate that mat still be air inside the system. You could also try to replace the whole system of fluid as any moisture absorbed by the fluid may affect the feel on the lever. Good luck!
@@midlifecrisisvlogSRAM older brakes do NOT have the bleeding edge tool. This is a relatively new technology. Older brakes have screws on both the top and bottom sides
@@Daniel-qf5un thanks for clarifying!
Do it from the lever side then :)
The problem with the lever side is that you have to disconnect the syringe which depressurises the system. If you do it from the bleed screw, you can lock of the brake system before removing the syringe 🙂
Thanks for this btw can i re-use the leftover dot fluid on the syringe that has not enter the brake caliper and use it next time for bleeding?
Hello, I hope it's been useful for you! If its new fluid that has only been used to add pressure to the system, then I would save it. If it's been used to flush any air out, then I would inspect the fluid to make sure there isn't any contamination from the line that may cause a future blockage if used.
No, don't reuse any leftover fluid later. DOT fluid actually ingests moisture and water from the air over time, so you'll be introducing moisture into your system at a later date. Just buy a new bottle when you need to use again in the future.
Hey, thanks for this comment! I didn't know this, every day is a school day!
Love this!!
Thanks! Was a good year even if I didn't get out as much as I would have liked!
Nice little edit
Cheers dude!
💐 "promo sm"
Where's this u are riding at looks sick
This is at Twisted Oaks Bike Park in the UK.
beautiful
Thanks!!
Nice, sounds like you had to get the hang of riding a hardtail again, I was the same. How are you finding it? Also what bike are you riding the enduro on? 👊
Yeah, man. Was quite different to the full sus, the seat is much higher so kept hitting the inside of my legs which was horrible. I've just got a fixed post so I can slam it instead of the dropper. Yes this is the enduro weapon! Not sure how I'll get on 🤣😂
Funny isn’t it how having the seat too high just feel wrong, especially on a hardtail as the back end doesn’t get out of the way. If you ever want to get a dropper I can fully recommend the 1up post, low stack and can adjust the drop by 20mm. Had mine for like 3 years now and it still works great. Going full enduro bro on my hardtail also, can’t wait after last year. See you there bud 👍
I have the rockshox reverb stealth dropper on it but the seat tube is so long on it that it's just there enough so I can't pick up the back end enough. Can't wait to give it some stick next weekend! 🤘🏻🤜🤛
you been back again ?
Not yet, used an old clip to keep the algorithm alive! 😂
it always amazes me how idiots still stand about in the middle of a trail with no clues as to who may be coming round the band or over that hill . . . . . if your reading this and your that guy or girl then please stop it pull over to the side of the trail to chat or whatever
I think they were having a little session on the jumps at the bottom, it's still amazing how unaware some people are on the trails. Especially on some of the faster sections! I've been down the top section of this run before and a group of people were stood in the trail over one of the larger crests and it was way too close for comfort! Be aware folks!!!
there was something over at FOD recently on a YT channel where they were barrelling down launchpad and 2 or 3 people were just milling around at the bottom of a fast section i think the l;ad was having a piss but he just suddenly appeared and jumped out of the way the lad father was more upset at the fact the rider swore at him . . . . yeah shit rolls downhill i guess
It was the same back in my days at the skatepark. People just sitting around where you're trying to ride and not aware of what everyone else is doing. It's an educational point for new riders but doesn't help if youre the one bombing down the trail and come across them! I did see a video recently where someone walked across the front of a drop and got clouted by the riders wheel 🫣
3:10 Important committee meeting.
@FirstNameLastName-ev3jk 😂😂 it's a normal stopping point to be fair but there's plenty of space either side of the trail to get out the way for any idiots trying to do a full mountain run 😬😜
coole Sprünge
Danke!
Sick
Cheers! Was a great day. Have you been?
@@midlifecrisisvlog ye
@@midlifecrisisvlog not as good as you though 🤣
😂 you can only get better by getting out there and having a go! 🤘🏻✌🏼
@@midlifecrisisvlog thanks I'll keep getting up after a crash and trying again 😊
Fun times! Place needs a flip jump though 😜
For you maybe..... 😂
I thought everything had been flattened in there buddy. Recognised some of it but not all Looks like I may head up there again soon.
Yeah, I heard it had been flattened too so was really surprised to find so much in there. They're really well hidden so they don't stand out and make obvious. Have fun!
Keep it quiet chaps,
Exactly why there no names mentioned or implied! ✌🏼🤫
@@kevinrussell6935 no problems there chap hence why no location etc is mentioned. I used to mountain board there with a group of guys about 10 yrs ago. Still a few very old vids on my channel from that place.
what length are they
800mm wide with a 38mm rise. I think the stem was a 45mm length too. 🤘🏻
What was that sound
Which one?
You come through Peterborough ? I may stand with my thumb out next time at the side of the road
Yeah, straight through. Will let you know when we're heading out next, not sure if it will be this year now though 😭. Definitely some more local rides though
what color? green heritage?
Mine was the flat sand colour they did. Looks incredible and stealthy with all the black parts too!
Cool!
Thanks! Takes an age setting up a camera and doing self filmed bits 😂
I bet! Love the bike too 😁
@Cap12643 yeah its a treat! Definitely gives you confidence!
That's sick 🤘🏽
Thanks!! Was a great couple of days in the dirt (and the wet 😬)
Nice bro where is this at?
It's a trail called Surfin Bird at Bikepark Wales, UK 🤘🏻
@@midlifecrisisvlog cheers
Totally much fun than sitting swiping your phone the whole day.
Exactly! Nothing like riding bikes! But thanks for watching and commenting!
Were did you bougt your frame protection
Mine is an Invis kit, very good kit and fits really tight around all the curves and joints for maximum protection. A it fiddly to put on but if you take your time it's quite fun to do.
@@midlifecrisisvlog does it fit to the frame good? I ordert an COMMENCAL clach too
Yeah really good, it's hard to find a bit which isn't covered by the film. Great bikes and a great kit!
@@midlifecrisisvlog is it the kit for 94£?
Yeah that sounds right. I got the fork kit too so the whole bike keeps fresh!
U ride like badass ....nice broo
Cheers!!! No point fu**in about is there?! 😂😁🤘🏻
Where's wild wood
Wild Wood is one of the trails at Dirt Farm in Wales. It runs from mid hill but they've reworked the bottom section to make it more flow than a bit more tech like it was before.
Amazing fun that looked
It was honestly so much fun! It's great hitting stuff seriously, but such a laugh mucking about! 😂
