We Skied a CLOSED Run! Peisey | Les Arcs

Pistes can be closed for different reasons, they could be dangerous, in bad condition or simply have no snow. This run in Les Arcs was an adventure to ski.

Ecureuils - This BLACK was BAD! | Les Arcs
Переглядів 75610 місяців тому
The snow on black pistes is often one of the reasons it's given this rating. This is the lowest black ski run in the resort and the snow was getting very thin. I'm not sure this really made the run any harder but it certainly made the bottom a little more exciting.

This is the best of the Welsh 3000s in my opinion. One of the most interesting and enjoyable routes in the Ogwen Valley.

Bosses | Les Arcs - Narrowest Black In The World?! #skiing

SUBSCRIBE if you like the follow cam POV 🎥 Follow Cam run of us skiing top to bottom down a busy run in Les Arc (Peisey Vallandry) in France. The skiing was fast and so much fun and racing towards the bottom of the piste was an excellent way to finish. Hot chocolates and coffees in the mountains are always fun and our favourite in Les Arcs has to be the Altiport. Just look at the size of that h...

Mountain Biking in the Snow (IT'S SO FUN! TRY IT!)
How much Grams of Coffee are you using? And do you use the razor?
I use 18.5 grams of coffee and i don't use the razor, I just try to get the weight right. If the weight is right and the shot comes out in about 25-35 seconds i'm generally happy with the grind. I make little adjustments if i want to see if it makes a difference but not always
what s the name of this pist ?
I have something similar from ECM
He's back!
Thank you. Very helpful
Great video 👍🏻
The grinder on this machine is so bad for medium to light roasts. Gave my machine away and got a decent machine and a niche grinder. Now I'm happy.
@@nathonwhite gosh! You gave away a £500 machine? Im sorry you didn’t get on with it. Did you try adjusting the burs?
To begin with, I buy an espresso machine without a grinder. Second, a grinder doesn't have to cost £500. There are grinders for half of that, that grind better than the built-in grinder @@sessionmediaa
Now that was fkn funny 😂😂
the two most gentle persons on the mountain im sure, the sweet talk!
Hi could you tell me where you started ( parked ) please 🙏
I actually started just up the road in a parking bay by the lake. hope that's helpful
Got mine for like £450 from Costco at the start of lock down 2020. I’ve used it on and off over the years, but just gave it a deep clean and it’s working great still
That was black? That was narrow? Try Keyhole at Alpine Meadows. It is the definition of steep and narrow.
@@charlieharper4975 thanks for the comment Charlie! Keyhole sounds like another level, I’d love to try it one day. I would just bear in mind the GoPro effect on these videos and that black just signifies being the next level of difficulty/exposure/deterioration or piste above red.
is it in la plagne of the main les arcs ski area
That's the spirit! Never let a mere sign stand between you and fun! 🤣❤
Which route would you recommend?
Love Les Arcs it's some of the best skiing there is but it can also have some of the worst. When the sun shines 1600, 1800, Peicey Vallandry can lose snow very fast and ice up like a.... On another note not sure if your insurance would cover you if a piste is designated closed and you came a Bernard.
If you can get one of the first bubbles up this run its absolutely glorious when piste bashed. Wait until its busy and it becomes very shit very quickly. Blue push path at the end to get to Meribel centre is never fun though.
Rhis looks a great qalk not aure about Devils Kitchen though
The way to ski a trail, like that, which, by the way, is probably not even a black diamond trail, is to make very short turns on the left side or the right side of the trail and stay out of the middle.
Hi Chad, thank you so much for the advice. Do read this comment out loud to yourself. I’m sure you meant it to be constructive but I’m afraid it doesn’t quite come across in that way. This run is also in France where the pistes are rated Green, Blue, Red, Black. There are no black diamonds or double black diamonds. The certainly doesn’t mean that the skiing is any less challenging in Europe, however it does use a slightly different rating scale.
L O L! Do you think this is narrow? Really? I think you should’ve skied the goat trail at Stowe Vermont about 50 years ago before they wind it. It was probably about 12 feet wide and 35°.
My favourite run in the world! In good snow the possibilities are endless. You took the standard way down but there are so many ways you can do it. the run out to 1600 is great fun too ❤
Nice! 🙌🏼💯
Black?
The end of "les ecureuils" is more red than black ut this is a nice run especially the passage through the forest. The start (top of Grizzly skilift) is steeper with moguls.
Who can i ask to find out where these are pal?
These people sound like Noel Coward's elocution teacher
😂
Steepest, narrowest, biggest, highest, longest, in France, in Europe, in the world, on south side of Tarentaise valley… Can’t you just enjoy something without setting hierarchy, rating and compare what would be wether better or not as good as. Grade is a strange way to describe and transmit passion. Try not to write a cv on your skis, you shall enjoy
out here at the moment . ice ice baby .. so much icy hard pack slopes grippy snow it os not !.. off piste non existant just sheet ice, hgher you go better the slopes
Oh no that sucks. Hopefully you get some more snow while you're out there.
skied it a multiple times last year. its steep but not more then that, would recommend it to ppl that wanna skie there first black!!
Yeah really good shout! It would be a perfect intro black. Not too steep and not too commiting.
I thought I was icy last year because of the snow condition but probably its just the slope if I see this vid :)@@sessionmediaa
Looks as if it needs more snow!
It definitely does!!
Nice skiing lady
Nice turns!
Thanks man! This was actually our final run of the holiday 😩 could have done with another few weeks!
What is black runs?
The hardest type of ski run you can do in Europe
😂😂😂😂😂
Great video Pete!! A great walk is to go north from the summit for Elidir fawr and then down into Llanberis.
Thank you so much. I’ve not actually dropped over to llanbedr is from there before but I should give it a go
bro your gopro is looking way too much down
You’re so right! I only found out after filming though 😂 had a whole run of the serene I had to bin because of that. Managed to fix it for the latest videos though. Waaaaay better now. 👍👍
don't want lost there in the dark and freezing cold
Absolutely not!! Apparently a couple people die each year getting lost up there. Not les arcs specifically
Amazing! Did they chase / chaperone you all the way down?
THANKS!! They were very nice but they were keen that we get down without delay. sorta just followed.
That looks like CGI! Great skiing 🤟🏻
thanks so much! It does a bit with the torch light.
Alone on the slopes ⛷️
It was absolutely awesome to ski with no-one else there.
First skied Malgovert in 1984 and it's still my absolute favourite. It was a humble red run until a few years ago. Back in 1984 the Comborciere lift which accesses this run was a drag lift - that was really hard work!
You pussy I ski stuff half as wide
Drama! I have skied that run many times.. it's not a big deal! Piste 21 (Red) in Zell am See in March is a bigger challenge.
This is a green at most other resorts. It’s not narrow. It doesn’t look difficult. This is some weak ass shit.
I really see no difference between the blue diamond run you were doing and this so called black diamond run. "Narrowest Black in the World", not so much.
Looks like an average intermediate run in Vt with normal “firm” Conditions
😂😂😂 doesn’t it just!? Good old “firm” VT
Crap run. awful iced up cat track. Les Arcs has no go pisted black runs since lockdown.
I think the Goat at Stowe is much narrower and steeper than this run.
I’d be interested to ski it! Like with all these things the camera doesn’t ever do it justice
No! Not that narrow. Try the Chamoix (Goat) at StoweVt. They’ve probably widened it by now for all you wimps….lol!
Amazing shots! 😍
Thank you!
