@@bent-n-rippin5573 the power trailer is working great the lithium battery is great, I’ve never even come close to draining it. I think 10 miles is the longest ride and it only went down one bar out of nine. It’s throttle only so you only use it when you need it. Course I’m not a speed junkie like someone I know, ha,ha,ha.😇

@@bent-n-rippin5573 agreed! When I had my Catrike 559 I was a speed demon, sometimes going down hill reaching 30 mph, without e-assist. If I reached those speeds with the Rambler it would be because I was being pushed by a car grill.

@@trikesquatch1217 hahahaha! Yes I am! I’ve found that the key to longevity to the axle clamps just like everything else is REGULAR MAINTENANCE!!! Let’s see… is that one of my strengths??? Nope. If I had a maintenance plan put together for this thing I wouldn’t have had this issue to begin with. I keep learning this but somehow I don’t follow through.

My god!! Hahahahahahaha! What a nightmare! Great story though. As I was reading it I saw (in my mind) a bunch of old cronies sitting around a table drinking coffee and telling stories about the trials and tribulations they’ve had and trying to (out story) each other. The one that told the best story was… (the tall one) he had all the old bastards on the edge of their seats. Then… as he finished… there was a long awkward pause… they all just looked at each other wondering who was going to crack first. All of a sudden, as if on cue…hysterical laughter! It disrupted the whole restaurant! The manager came over and told the old men that they had to keep it down or they would have to leave. Apologies… a little boyish snickering… then… compliance. It was the best day they’ve had in a long time, and a story to remember… thanks bud!

I’m familiar with recumbent trikes and quads, but not recumbent bikes. Come to think of it, I don’t remember even searching recumbent bikes. Probably because they wouldn’t work for me. I bought my quad and my son’s trike from Utah. I’ve been very pleased with the product… not necessarily the customer service after the sale. But i knew that going into it. I just had a vision of what I wanted and they had something that was very close. I just had to make it perfect.

So, you wanna hear something (kinda) funny about the camera placement? He broke it off when he rolled the trike into a fire hydrant!! Yep, all I heard was a grunt. He was on his back, and the trike was upside down when I looked into my side view mirror. Poor guy. From experience… that hurts. He had light road rash on his arm and some aches and pains. MORE IMPORTANTLY, the rear swing arm on the trike is tilting to the right… (not so good). I have 4 or 5 days off next week to try to fix it.

@@trikesquatch1217 I’m thinking about converting it to a quad for him so it’s not so easy to flip. It’ll have to wait because the conversion kit that (the shop that’ll remain nameless) sells is $400.00+. Hopefully I can fix it now so he can still ride it with me until I can afford the damn kit. He’s been riding with me lately so I’m really worried that he’ll lose interest if it’s not fixed quick.

Now I just have to remember to pick up his meds from Publix on the way home from work. Round tires are definitely preferable. You know, when I was a kid my bike’s kinda evolved with me probably like most people. I started with a Schwinn Stingray, then a Torker (that’s where the modification bug started). It was completely chrome with yellow accents. Extremely heavy, it took anything I threw at it. Then I started to “lighten” it… chromolly everything! The only problem was the frame. But lighter was definitely better. The next bike was a ridiculously light ten speed with the thinnest wheels ever. They were so thin that I had to be careful hitting the lip at the end of driveways! Hahahaha! Once I tried to go up a driveway at the wrong angle and… bam! Cracked Ulna! Man that hurt. The last bike I had was kind of a hybrid. Very sturdy and light. It was a Mongoose (when they were only sold at bike shops), now they’re a dime a dozen at Walmart. I still have that bike. I got tires at a local bike shop and they had a hard time fitting them because they didn’t make the size anymore. I’ve thought about converting it to an electric monster… hehehe… that’s for later though. Yes, I love my mirrors too! I use them constantly. I love the racetrac story! And your tallness supported your story! Hahahaha! Perfect! I’ll bet that guy tells that story for a very long time! Hahahaha! I totally agree with you about making people laugh… it just makes me happy. Thanks bud.

I definitely was flying on this one. Yes, this road has a huge gated community on one side and freeway on the other so it seems like nomans land. I’ve thought about an air horn… they do sell a 12v one at work. Some of the people I’ve passed and said hello to over the past couple of days haven’t been so happy. Also… I named the video what I named it because I hardly said anything on this ride, and I was just trying to be clever that’s all. My god! You poor guy! Unfortunately I’ve totally been there. It really sucks. I’ve seen way more than my fair share of doctors in the past 15 or so years, and only one that I really liked (he took a piece of my colon out). He visited me every night after he was in surgery all day and just sat with me and talked. He was pretty awesome. Hip pain is definitely not something to bock at. It freakin hurts! I hope that yours gets better very soon! And don’t you worry about me … I’ll definitely have enough fun for both of us! Because I’m a giver! Hahahaha!

Yes, just don’t fall asleep in your car because… you might not wake up! I definitely have been thinking of off the wall things to say on my marquee, but I’m waiting till I get its location in the right place (it has to be shaded). That’ll come when I change the orientation of the 72v battery and put a top and bottom on the box that the battery sits in. I’ll leave the sides open for air movement… shhhhhhh… future modifications.
