I've been trawling UA-cam for Troy Iwata content and this interview has been such a welcome find! This film is on my list, and this channel is on my subscribed. Wonderful talent, wonderful interview, thank you for the entertainment and information!

"General movies" feel so formulated to satisfy such broad appeal that they often come off as flat and safe. Lifeless. Genre is definitely a risk, but when I think of the films that have seized me to the extent that I want to rewatch them, few are "general."

I really like how Ti commented on recapturing the era through the media people consumed then. That’s such a good approach to making these kind of throwback movies; obviously, he did an amazing job with House of the Devil!
