My mum just died yesterday. Her cancer had returned after 15 years and when they realised by accident it was already everywhere and she'd been in treatment for the last two years but she made everyone hide it from me (I live in a different country). I only knew when my dad suddenly told me yesterday that she was hospitalized and it's not looking good and all the rest. Then less than 12 hours after i found out, she was dead. How can God do that? I've had a hard time the last few years after leaving an abusive relationship and finally I found a decent job that would lead to more opportunities and I had made good friends and was slowly more confident and comfortable with myself and I thought things were finally looking up and I would work hard and save money to take my parents on holiday and so on. And then I just start work and I'm told that actually all this has been happening and I never knew and then that she's dead. I don't understand the point. Why must God do this? I just wanted my parents to be proud of me. She's still so young. And I cant make it back in time for the funeral coz of covid quarantine so my dad said to stay put and focus on work. I never got to say goodbye. When I found out she was already sedated and unconscious. When something seems to be going better, something bad always happens. I don't understand why. I don't even know how to begin to process this. My dad said when they found out the cancer had returned by accident, she said God told her that he'll heal her and to go for treatment. But he didnt. She believed till the end that he would. She never wavered. How do I even believe God is good
