Thanks for the vid. Had hoped either the FC3 or this one would at least have the ability to have 4 heaters. But no. If they want a franken jet, why not give it CCRP like the free A-4 or the Franken Mig-21 have to even odds a bit, but no not that either. And before people jump on CCRP being fake and not belonging. There is lots of fake stuff in DCS like the BS3, and HARMS on inner pylons on the F-16 and like mentioned the Mig-21's systems. Or give it Mavs like some had IRL. What i am curious about is, why pay - again- for the F-5, when you can fly the A-4 for free and have a plane that can do more and has more history than the F-5E? ( Nosewheel steering is a valid argument :P ) The F-5E is such a relatively simple plane, that ED easily could have gone a bit further. I don't even mind simple systems. In fact i would loe to se a lot more FC3 stuff that is easy to jump into. This one is just a low ball. Come on ED, you can do much better.

I fly the F-5E a lot, but if the plane just looks a tiny bit different but has all the same functionality, if it's just a tiny bit better graphics, why buy the update? this is kinda like buying fans that have little blinking LED's for your computer and calling it an upgrade.

If we got Mavericks, it would be worth it.

Using the word 'extortion' with regard to money equivalent of pizza in case of a hardcore simulator module. That's great. EDIT: The vast (vast!) majority of community bnacklash came from hopeless souls who think old textures can work with new 3D models and people who self-convinced themselves (without even a hint from ED) that 4 sidewinders, Maverick and aerial refueling probe are even remotely considered for this Remaster. The reality is: the scope is known, the price is known, it's not obligatory. And everyone gets updates and bug fixes. Now and in the near future.

Great video, hitting every mark on why I find this to be such a disappointing upgrade. Would happily pay even the planned full upgrade price if they added the extra capabilities you mention. Even just the extra sidewinders would have made a lot of people less disapointed I think.

Any argument about giving modules extra capability. Is already lost by Ed and will never be won just by acknowledging the existence or non existence of the ka50.

I don't have it yet because I'm away from home but it's pretty obviously worth paying for.

I love the part where he says the community didn't receive it well, shows a negative comment on Steam, but when you check the Steam page, the reviews are 'Very Positive.' I'd really like to know where you're getting your information to claim that the majority of the community didn't react well to the update.

Wags made it obvious in a recent Mover and Gonky video. He and likely the rest of the ED executives have checked out from social media they don't control. The are the proverbial executive ostriches burying their heads in the sand on their own forums, where their moderators allow bullying by certain posters and locking threads on acknowledged bugs they will never fix. It's a shame what they have done. Was anyone really asking for fog or has it been AI that works, ATC that works, Data Cartridges, modules that are finished, third parties to be paid and a dynamic campaign that should be here now by Wags own words. It is good to see the F-5 revisited, it has been too long that they have ignored reported bugs. Again it is tone deaf to refuse to add realistic features and weapons to E variants that were exported. The 7000 hours they claim must be the total spent on the MAC project they abandoned. Hopefully they actually deliver the additional fixes and features they have sold and will reconsider adding more Aim-9 variants, pylons and weapons to the project.

Great summary! I'm overall pleased with my purchase even though I don't think there's enough to it to justify the price tag. My main disappointment with it is how they squandered a great opportunity to fix the outdated and glaringly unconvincing radar visuals.

Multiple ship takeoff shouldn’t be rolling alternate sides of runway. Typically you all roll on one side, the other side is kept clear in case any emergency. Hot/cold sides
