Strange. My 2003 AC 300 4x4 has a female end on the CV joint cup and the male end shaft (with a cir clip) is in the differential. It just pulls out. It's almost backwards of this setup.
My shifter is stuck
What is the plug at the top of the case for?
so what about the tranny filter?
Would you recommend to do it on the scat track Mohawks the Mohawks rub a lot
Thanks!!!!! Always good to see it done before tackling it yourself.
Had the exact situation with my 550 and couldn’t get it out. After being told that it just “pulls out” I’d about given up. Saw this a couple of days ago and just tried it with my vice grip slide hammer. Came out with 2 fairly easy hits. Thank you so much for this short and to the point video.
@@trm273 awesome, glad it helped!
Awesome video. Thank you sir
I wish I could see where the shims go.
How did you get the bearing out of the cv axle cup
It was already destroyed so it just fell out This video is for after you've broken the CV.
@@marcoradat the cv axle is broke in the same place and the bearing is loose but every time I push in it doesn’t do anything.
@@austinhenderson851 you have to push and pull at the same time. Sometimes the axle is actually frozen in the diff. So, if that's the case you'll have to negotiate that as well.
I’m coming up on my 20 hour break in. Thanks for the video, big help
Thank you sir! Those 2 screws in the middle where holding me up till I found this video. 👍
Glad it helped
Thanks for this video. I have a 2017 Sport ad couldn’t figure out how to get the 17 mm fill plug out of the front diff. You saved the day by showing the crows foot wrench you used. What a shiny design they used for the location of their drain plugs, no room to work ! Thanks again for your informative videos. 👍
Don't need no fuse block. Need my wildcat to stop overheating and stop the gear jamming. Stopped making this SXS . They should have but they should repair their defective product.
You are a saint. Thank you
Glad it helped...
You have got the BEST video on how to remove this.. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Appreciate it. Glad you found it helpful.
I'm changing out my thermostat this weekend on my 2017 WC Trail. Great job showing how to remove the bed. Thank you.
Holy Christ dude I wanna tongue kiss you right now I been working for hours before I found this video “many cuss words” THANK YOU!!!
Lol. You're welcome.
Not heavy enough material on the A arm. The bolts can't be tight, or the suspension won't travel travel correctly.
FYI: Yamaha call it a final drive and not a differential because it's not a differential. Differentials are much more complicated because they allow the wheels to turn at differential speeds. The wheels on a YXZ always turn at the same speed.
My life is now complete 🙃
I know this is an old video, but I had a rear axle go bad. It was this type with the ball. I cannot find this type anywhere. They all just have a circlip. My dealer cannot even order them it seems and when he called arctic cat they acted like they know nothing about the ball type as seen in this video.
You don’t even need to take the clutch off
What could the issue be when it’s a little difficult to switch in and out of gears?
Bad driver
What if I have a Polaris rzr? Same concept?
No, they just pull out.
@@marcoradat yeah….not this one lol thank you though.
@@heatherturner6637 I'm sure it has seized inside the diff, pretty common.
Are you able to access all of the bolts from underneath the bed?
Yes
Thank you. I just changed mine. It was a pain in the butt. Your video was very helpful.
What Years Does This Cover ?? I Have a 2003 .. Thanks
What if it’s too bent to spin it around with the 14mm wrench?
She musta been outta balance. Lol
Straight up, no BS = 1 new subscriber. Thanks for quality shoot
Thx
Great video
Thank you
I have already kept 400 trying to get that center cap out but it don't have a ball solid right there how do I get it removed
It's not an OEM axle then. It likely is just stuck. Some guys have success using a slide hammer.
Thanks for the video i have been struggling....
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks, do these instructions apply to a Trail 700?
Yes, same chassis. Just wider trac.
One of the best how to do video I have watched thanks
Appreciate it
1st off, I have Never commented on anything before. I was trying to get it off for hours. Come a cross you're video. Had it off in 10seconds, NO lie 10 Both side. Thank you
Awesome! Glad it helped!!
Great instuctional video well done
Thanks!
Mines a 2018 wild cat sport same issue… I fix that that piece of shit more than I ride it never again will I buy an Arctic cat!!! JUNK!!!!!
Great clutch install, noticed the TK sticker , myself retired Local 18
Nice! I adjusted for TK for years. Now run a lowly out route for Schindler. Good little gravy train with no stress. Local 21, 15 years to go.
@@marcoradat been retired 8 years walked away at 60 . Don't put it off . Spent 30+ years in service nothing exciting but pays the bills . Work safe
Thanks for the video. Yamaha could have made it a lot easier. Pain in the Ass
My clutch is right on the floor, push really hard to disengage but grabs immediately, I bought the buggy used so I’m thinking it’s time for a new clutch?
I assume if the clutch pedal had been adjusted as the old clutch wore that it would need to be backed of after new clutch is installed
@SS Man, I bought a 2016 manual YXZ used, I do not know if a different clutch has been put in my machine, and have not taken it apart yet. I would like to adjust the clutch pedal though, my clutch engages at the last inch of travel, and I have read that it should engage in the middle of travel. I would like to try a pedal adjustment before trying to replace the clutch fibers and discs. Do you have any info on how to adjust the clutch pedal? Thank you.
Thank you for the video
Welcome
I went to remove the CV axle today in my side by side and it came apart were this one did now I know how to remove the rest of it this video was a big help thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Great video good to know information, nothing in the manual about this Thanks again
Welcome
My 2014 wildcat trail 700 keeps braking belts. I've put on several different types. What could be the problem??
With no other info I'd guess clutching issues.
@@marcoradat I've checked everything and I don't see any issues with it everything is working the way it properly should it is in-line like it should be but every time I take off I get around 55 it shreds the belt
@@billyenglestufftruckracing1530 if alignment is good then it's building heat from slippage. Pull primary and secondary and inspect. Secondary known to have roller issues. Primary could have a stuck weight.
How do you replace the Arctic Cat 0648-826 CAM,BACK-2 STRK. Please
Do you know what the size the axle nut is …29 or 30 mm ? Thanks
Off the top of my head, 30mm sounds more correct that 29mm.
The biggest problem I see with artic cat is people still buying them
Gotta love the wildcat trail
