I have not seen or read anything where there are restrictions but yes, it is great to have a lot of smaller locally owned companies

Although Agave Bandido, Deep Lagoon seafood, and Osteria 500 all have other locations in this area

As an avid cigar smoker myself to be honest, I don’t know the answer to that. I’ve definitely not seen any public ashtrays nor anybody smoking. However there is a great place to get a cigar at the Sunday farmers market there.

@@941LifestyleGroup Yeah my wife and I love to smoke cigars once every week or two or three. It would feel so repressive if we weren't allowed (not necessarily in the public places, but in Lakewood Ranch HOA rules such as in the backyard etc). If you have any information let me know, bc I'm working out my pros and cons for the area, thinking of moving there in 2027 and doing advance research (currently living it up in the Bahamas (from TX and CA; Where are you from originally?)).

@EvanEvansE3 we have lived all over the country. We lived in this area for about 11 years from 2008 until 2018 and then move to Maui Hawaii and recently moved back to this area.

Yup. This is going to be a big one. We are pretty far inland so I’m more concerned with the wind and the rain. And the scary part about this one is that it’s coming in overnight.

@EvanEvansE3 for the most part of Lakewood Ranch was spared catastrophic damage, but I know I’ve got lots of friends who still do not have power and have had their pool cages destroyed. Hi Jeff seen some posts about some roofs with minor damage seems to the north of us and the coast got the brunch of the flood and wind damage.

Thanks so much for tuning in. This area is not in a flood zone; tons of neighborhoods flooded throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Traffic is busy during peak hours for sure. For crime, we would recommend checking out City-Data. They have tons of good info. You may have to search by zip codes rather than town names (34202 and 34211)

We will just continue to live in two completely different realities.

Probably not. Dozens and dozens of neighborhoods flooded in the area. Not likely to cause prices to drop anytime soon.

0nly one street by the river in Lakewood Ranch got flooded. Few houses That is it

@@rrcbiker there’s tons of reasons why waterside is special and I guess prices going up is a great thing if you are a home owner. Great communities at waterside, convenient location they had full of great, great restaurants all sorts of lifestyle amenities.
