Tumblers mostly, and whatever miscellaneous craft of the week grabs me! I’m no expert, I’m just sharing to help others like me - you see a thing and think “I could make that with $300 in craft supplies! Why should I buy it for $29.99??”

Переглядів 3455 років тому
Glitter tumblers using the epoxy method. If you like please subscribe. I’m using Art Works Resin in this video (thecraftattack.com). The 30oz is an Ozark Tumbler, the 20oz is from my local pool store. Glitters are Recollections Sea Foam and White is from Walmart.
Wood-look, whitewashed tumbler paint
Переглядів 18 тис.6 років тому
The paints I used here are Manatee SeaPaint and Beach Wash Secret. They can be found here: goo.gl/UcW1ci Yes, it’s an affiliate link, I don’t get money from this, just gift cards to buy more paint. This works on wood, Metal, Glass, plastic, really anything. I redid my entire bedroom set with these colors. I hadn’t tried this look on a tumbler yet, but I’m rather enjoying the look!
How to apply waterslide decals to tumblers
Переглядів 197 тис.6 років тому
Quick video, and I’m sorry that I’m not great with these! This is how I do my water slides to help keep them from wrinkling up. I’m sorry I cut off at the last teeny bit but the important parts are all there. UPDATED 1/2022 - I never dreamed people would STILL be referring to this over 2 years later! I've updated the amazon links below - yes they're referral links, they cost you nothing extra a...
How to strip epoxy tumblers the EASY way
Переглядів 43 тис.6 років тому
Easiest way I’ve found to strip epoxy tumblers. No spending hours and hours soaking in buckets with smelly paint strippers! Supplies (my links): amzn.to/3ri6qx8 You could also use a stripping product: amzn.to/3roa0Wv
I'm so glad I found this video !! Very Beautiful tumbler Thank you for sharing.
Hi. Great video. What is the tool you used to straighten the edge that rolled under? Thank you!
That’s just a weeding tool (a dental pick)
I didn't understand what u did there but the background song though ✨ backstreet boys
Hi everyone, can I get some help? :/ I am having massive printing issues. My printer leaves scratch marks all the time and sometimes the print is totally unusable. My printer back feed uses wheels that make contact with the ink on the paper and leave marks, and my front feed keeps bumping into curved or elevated surfaces on the paper, scratching the ink. Does anyone know how this can be solved? Many thanks in advance :)
Is it easier to mirror it so you can put it face down?? I ask because me doing this, I'd rip it 😶😶
What is waterslide?
Great method...but PLEASE wear GLOVES at all stages of this process and a respirator...... Acetone is toxic !!
Does this hurt the coating that’s already on the cups? I need to strip a coated yeti and don’t want to mess up the coating. The resin is just clear.
Great tutorial! Loved the background music too!
I want it that way!
Question can you use that same method with acrylic tumblers
Tell me whyyyyyyyy... I love this video.
Is it warm water?
This can vary a bit based on the brand of waterslide. I use slightly warm water - you should always check the manufacturer’s directions for this
@@tracyhoward9036 Thank you so much for responding!
I love it, love the way it's coming out
Love the tumbler; but tell me why as I'm watching, I caught myself singing my lungs out to BSB LOL.
What printer do you have??
I use an HP laser or a Canon Pixma series
The grey and the second colors are ther acrylic paints?
No, SeaPaints actually.
Cold/ luke warmish water....dunk the decal in there and count to ten SLOWLY....pull the decal off the paper and put it in place on the item. Sqeegee the water out of it and let idry over night before moving on to the next step.....Different brands of decals need different water temperatures......experiment......
Hello love your channel what type of. Printer do you use
I have 2. I have a Canon Pixma series printer (inkjet) and I have an HP color laser printer. I tend to use my Inkjet for waterslides. I’ve had my printer for 7 years or so, and I’ve used Canon printers since around 2005, but I do hear great things about the HP Instant Ink printers.
Hello, just came across your video, any advice for having only clear water slide paper and having to put an image on a purple glitter cup? I've tried it but image is too see through 🥴
Yep! I got you! Cut white vinyl JUST a smidge smaller than your waterslide as a background.
Thank you so much!!
Hi. What inkjet printer do you use?
I’ve used the Canon Pixma series printers for decades now, but I know most folks LOVE the HP Instant Ink ones these days.
So what if you want it around the dip in the cup? I’m having huge issues with mine
SUPER difficult to do, you’d need to make sure your Waterslide image is appropriately warped to fit and be able to stretch it.
what spray do you use on top of the image? thanks!
Usually any clear coat is fine. I like the clear plasti-dip because it gives a smidge more durability to the decal and has UV protection. Back when I did these it was just the Rustoleum 2x clear coat.
I would like to say Thank You so much! I tried this last night about 11pm I opened it at 11am and I was elated with the results! I have 12 more tumblers that I need to remove epoxy from. You’re a life saver! Thank you 😊
Hi... did you epoxy the cup, then do water slide picture the epoxy again? If not how is the cup so shiny before you added the pic
Yes, you want a VERY smooth surface before waterslide. You want to sandwich the waterslide decal between layers of epoxy. You can sand before the waterslide if needed, but if you’re using a clear Waterslide, try to avoid it because the marks from sanding will show through and make it look cloudy.
So, you don't need warm water? Just tepid water?
If the brand you purchased specifies warm, absolutely follow their instructions. I think perhaps my idea of “tepid” water may be different from people who don’t live on the surface of the sun lol. Even our “cold” tap water is tepid.
@@margaritamondays4985 Thank you! I sooo appreciate your timely answer
How do you get the white to show up on the clear waterslide paper
It’s not possible (with regular printers) - you need white Waterslide if you need white to show up (clear should only be used on white or VERY light backgrounds).
@@margaritamondays4985 ok so I purchased white waterslide paper (inkjet), my friend said when she uses if the whole design came off white and not the color she needed
@@lailaford1237 that sounds like possibly a printer issue?
@@margaritamondays4985 ok I’m going to try it on my printer when I get home and see if it works on mine
Gloves
Do you seal it before putting epoxy?
No! The edges of the waterslide will curl if you do that. Let it dry a good while before doing epoxy (I leave it overnight just for convenience)
This method gives me anxiety hahaha
What other methods are there? Would love suggestions before I venture into my friends tumblers.
Thank you so much for your video, very helpful. 👌🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Toy story and backstreet boys. I wanna hang at your house. Lol nice video
Omg youre listening to Hamilton HERE COMES THE GENERAL
Question. Do you know what brush you used and where can I get it. Im needing this brush!!!!!
April Peña I’ll tell you my big huge super secret here....that’s a $0.99 chip brush. Literally the cheapest thing you can get. Don’t try to use a high quality brush here, it doesn’t work.
& my other question is do regular sticker work on tumbler glitter cups or no
lenora nikia if it’s a waterproof decal yes. Get a smooth coat of epoxy (it may take more than one coat!), then apply the decal, then another layer of epoxy to seal. If the sticker is a paper-y sticker, the epoxy is going to soak in and make it look awful.
So I did a silver glitter tumbler what do I do with the epoxy clear stuff?
lenora nikia you need a smooth coat of epoxy before the waterslide. I recommend checking out FeatherBear videos for more detailed instructions
Love BSB!
Thank you for this! Great video! I am going to use this method today!
I tried this and it worked beautifully! Just sanded the cup again and rubbed it down with alcohol and it was as good as new!
Omg!!! I can’t believe I didn’t think of this!!! I have my nail lic and this how we soak off acrylic 🤦🏻♀️ Thank you so much I was about to loose my mind lol
Can you use any printer I have a canon . I want to know if I get the paper will it still work ?
As long as you get the type of paper that matches your printer type (laser or inkjet)
How much as the tone did you actually pour on the paper towel
Tina Pedroza I didn’t measure, just enough to make sure the towels were fully saturated.
I did a alcohol ink tumbler and it didn’t come out the way I expected will it work with 100% nail acetone ?
SunfloweerSkyy it will still work - it’s probably just pricier to use the nail acetone.
Margarita Mondays I had just brought some but thanks I just wrapped a cup i just did
Do you think this wood work on a flower pot? Love your videos
Yes, definitely
How did you make the picture I'm lost
Racquel Knowles the picture is printed from an image file I had on my computer. Waterslide paper prints like any other paper.
@@margaritamondays4985 where can i buy water slide paper
Was that done with the epoxy method or mod podge? I need to stip a cup that fell off my Turner
Kathy Chicorelli I don’t remember but the odds are good it was either the epoxy method or Loctite actually. I rarely us MP.
Can I still do this if my cup still sticky. I think I didn’t mix the parts right and it never cured. Can I do this process there no hope on saving a cup. Can someone help.
It will still come off. I had the same problem.
What kind of waterslide paper did you use? Every time I try and do a waterslide that would be that rich in color, it does not come out that rich. It's see-through.
Christine Gilbert If you’re using clear Waterslide, that will happen. This one in the video was done on white waterslide paper, which is much more able to show very vibrant colors.
Margarita Mondays thank you so much! You have been very helpful!
Does any white on any picture you decide to print, come out clear? or do you have to buy the download water slide pictures off of etsy that are like 8$ per picture 🙄
Vall Daubitz any white in any picture will be clear, if you use clear waterslide paper, or white if you’ve used white waterslide. If you can print an image on regular paper, you can print it on waterslide paper - you don’t HAVE to buy from Etsy :)
Margarita Mondays THANK YOU so much! you’ve helped a lot, i’m new to this and most people don’t want to share are to make them
Very helpful, thank you. I might try this method rather than the Elmers glue method x
