    Hello Renae, the video is very useful, thank you for this. I applied for a job in England from Turkey and they offered me a Band 6 community nurse job. I had a lot of question marks in my mind and I came across your video. Thank you very much. They told me to choose a region between Kent-Essex-London. I wanted to ask if there is an area you would recommend.

    Generous annual leave if your face fits, every job in the uk has to pay sick leave, after you get to the top it stagnates, pension is a joke that’s where are pay increase came. I’m sorry but there is no career progression for most. If you value your mental health then stay away from the nhs.

    • @RenaeDelaine
      @RenaeDelaine 2 роки тому

      A community hospital is not the same as community nursing. I don't think you will visit patients at home (depending on the role). Best to check with your employer if you will need to do this. You can move anytime, as long as you are not tied to a contract for any reason.

    • @RenaeDelaine
      @RenaeDelaine 2 роки тому

      Hi Brigitte, To be honest, I cant recall accurately because, I haven't worked in the community for a while now. As it says 56p per mile in the first 3,500miles, I think the price per mileage goes down after 3,500miles and you get a reduced rate per mile after that. It is definitely a question for your employer :)

Nursing has variety of specialties to choose from. Its people arround you who make easy things difficult, do it the other way. Ive left my job after 10,5 years and I am amazed how easy it was. So in order to move up eaxh band, its imperative to get the accompanying amount experience in thw previous band? 😭 to get to the highest band you'd have to be a higly specialised nurse of FORTY YEARS Isn't there a way to skip bands or sub-bands when you're already very experienced in the field?

    • @RenaeDelaine
      @RenaeDelaine 2 роки тому

      You can move up a band without getting to the top of your current band. e.g you can apply for a band 7 role after being a band 6 for a year. It all depends on experince and capability as well.
