It's very difficult replace the motherboard? Have you video showing when you clean the buttons?

Thanks for this, I had a similar problem with sticking buttons. I wouldn't have attempted it without your article and the accompanying comments. The internal screws are incredibly tight for their size. I eventually managed by applying very firm downward pressure before rotating. The clips on internal housing were awkward, but easy once you manage to lever the first clip in, up and then out. As you suggested, the brass clips were fiddly, but patient, gentle levering with a very fine screwdriver will help. My Harmony now works perfectly once more. Thanks again.

Recently bought one (same unit under a different brand name) for similar reason. Clear tape is garbage. I've driven to UPS only to find all the clear tape has fallen off the boxes, sitting in a car in south FL summer heat. Haven't even put water in ours yet. Looking forward to it. Thanks for the quick tutorial and the calculations. The dispenser sure is not cheap but I got a free case of tape and free shipping.

Ugh- what screwdriver size for the first 2 screws by the USB? I have tried, 0, 00, 000, and 0000 - NONE of them bite.

How does the inner plastic housing come apart? You did not show how that was done. I removed the 3 screws but it still does not come off.

Thanks for showing the innards! I've got mine apart on the bench. On the cleaning, I would suggest isopropyl alcohol instead. Cleaning electronics with any sort of acid could lead to future corrosion. Alcohol will clean it up and leave no residue.

Hi Ross, I see that the 60 amp breaker you are using for the HPWC is connected to your main panel which I believe is metered together with your other circuit breakers right? From that 60amp circuit breaker you said however please correct me if I'm wrong is connected to the 2nd meter and from the second meter to the HPWC. Would that be metered twice one from the house meter and from the Tesla meter? Please advise as I'm kinda confuse. Thanks for your help.

about how many miles per hour are you seeing (I heard with that setup about 44). Also, I had spoken with a company Tesla recommends for install of the charger. I have a 200 amp box. I have a double oven, induction cooktop, swimming pool (pump on daily from 10 am to 4 pm and never at night), one 5 ton ac unit and of course washer/dryer, second refrigerator in my garage. He told me just by looking at my setup I would need to modify my setup to have a 400 amp one based on loads. I spoke to another person that came highly recommended who is an electrician for about 40 years and he said it would be no problem. I plan on charging at night only. Being that you have a lot of knowledge in this area and you are using the HPWC, what are your thoughts? By the way, no jacuzzi or heater on my pool and the pump is never on at night. Thanks in advance. By the way, I am getting my red RWD with 19" wheels and EAP in 2 weeks. Your car look great.

No good for the workers? What if the workers are no good. You've got people there crying that may have only worked there a year and call in all the time. And you've got mature individuals that were able to process that the company gave them about a 3 year heads up that their jobs are on the way out. It's extremely difficult in this country to find people willing to do the job and meet the needs of a manufacturing environment (over 8 hours a day, never call out, etc.) no matter what you pay them or what benefits they provide. I guarantee you every single one of the people protesting at Walmart and McDonalds for $15 an hour could relocate TODAY to an industrial job somewhere and make $18 plus. Problem is they wouldn't be worth having there because they are not teachable and worse are not reliable in any way.

It all comes down to taxes. Corporations are suffering horribly. Trump doesn't blame the companies but will pressure them back only if he is President and he does want to reduce the insane taxes/regulations so we can compete.

There is no way for an American company to be competitive with a company based in a country with a much lower standard of living. I has nothing to do with the free market or capitalism. This is why for decades we had tariffs to protect American companies and the American standard of living. When you can make a product in a country with no worker safety regulations, no environmental regulations, and no minimum wage you are going to be able to make it much cheaper than in this country.

There is no way in hell we would vote for any of the other 5000 candidates that are running on the repug side.
