I bought this same watch two years ago just before I began my seven weeks of five day a week radiation and one day a week chemo treatments and the appointments and scans that go along with that. Wore it everyday and it saw me through just fine. Really like the watch and it is nice to have watches of different sizes. Not all watches have to be large or huge. I have another Citizen Eco-Drive that I bought about 25 years ago and it is still working fine and still on the original rechargeable battery.

I bought one of these around 2013, but ended up swapping it for a solar g shock. I bought another recently, and I’m sure the lume is weaker than the watch I had in 2013 🤔 I wonder if they started using cheaper lume, or if I’ve got too used to Seiko lumibrite. The lume has now got me thinking of swapping it for something else… 🤦🏻‍♂️

I have the blue variant on a quality leather strap in the same blue color, specifically for formal occasions. It looks amazing.

These are great watches. I have one similar but it has a gray dial and metal H bracelet. The Seiko metal H bracelets are beautiful and look like a Rolex diver from a few feet away. With this being hunter green with some gold accents, I would replace the leather strap with a colorful nato band. Leather bands are out…you look out of style with one.

Sorry but I do like the band. I think it fits the style of the watch very well. I would like it better if the face was a little bit larger. Guess we both need to keep looking. But I think it’s a great value overall and would make a great gift for a kid’s grownup watch.

I wish they are smaller lug to lug distance.

I just bought one. I love it. It’s beautiful. My only gripe is when I’m in a very dark room that has very dim lighting, I can’t see the hour and minute hands. Otherwise, it phenomenal.

under 100 dollars? I don't think so at my place, this citizen bm8180-03e sells for over 200 dollars, too many positive reviews makes demand go up made me turn to its equivalent competitor, the seiko sne095p2 for value for money reasons

I've went with an alba AQPJ402 instead 👍. That has a decent bracelet but this has eco drive.

Picked this up for $80 bucks. My God it is beautiful.

I have been wearing this little thing every day for close to 3 years now. I barely use any of my other watches. The strap breaks easily so I had to replace it with a spare seiko strap. It's amazing for daily use. I am curious to see how long it can last. I got mine on offer for £11 which was a steal.

I'm considering the black or gray dial . Yellow seconds hand with green canvas strap. I will use it as a daily tool watch. Do you have an update on your ownership any issues like in the reviews on Amazon?

Probably my favorite watch I have. Simple, looks great and has survived everywhere I've taken it (Afghanistan and Iraq). Alongside a Casio G-Shock, can't go wrong

Just picked one up today from Macy’s- really nice face, strap is good though might eventually switch it with darker brown. Pretty good value with discounts at around 170 usd.

Good review ... This watch is OK and looks well made... The 21 Jewel Seiko 5 SMK809K2 Automatic is a FAR superior watch for around the same money. For around the same money, you get an automatic movement that beats at 21600 BPH so you get a nice sweeping second hand rather than a cheap-looking tick every second. The +/- on my Seiko SMK809K2 is around 5 seconds a day (After around 6 weeks of wearing the watch once it has settled it) ... When I want a watch that is EXACTLY correct to the second I just wear my £35 GBP Radio controlled Casio. The second hand on this Citizen that only moves once a second always looks like a cheap watch ... Have a look at the Automatic 21 Jewel movement Seiko 5 SMK809K2 before you buy this Citizen watch. The Seiko 5 is a BETTER watch .. IMO This Citizen does however beat the Seiko over WR... This Citizen is WR to 100M the Seiko 5 is only WR to 30M...If you are going to wear a watch while swimming I would pick the Citizen ... The Seiko is however safe to wear in the shower or in a heavy rainstorm. However, if you do not intend to swim with a watch on I would still pick the 21 Jewel Automatic movement Seiko 5 SMK809K2 over this Citizen Chandler for around the same money. You can't beat a nice automatic movement on a watch. Thank you for this review.

Correction my friend. The W-86 was released in January of 1995 (module - 1275) according to an Argo's Casio Catalog! Stay safe.

I'd probably take this watch over a Seiko 5 field watch...and probably even over a Hamilton Khaki field due to the better price.
