To be fair Sony themselves did try to extend the lifespan of the PS2 with an addon called the eyetoy, just like the kinect is was awful, the difference is that Sony stopped making them once they realised that nobody wanted it whereas Microsoft just kept making kinects with there even being an updated version of it for the Xbox one which surprisingly fixed the tracking and identification issues the original had but nobody wanted it and there were no games for it so it sold badly anyway.

The game industry is crashing fast look at all the lay off's. It's only going to get more greedy and worse and less and less people are going to buy new games and people with a high IQ like myself went back to Xbox 360 when games were the best.
