I have a question how do soldiers hold their guns when their holding on their parachute?
This was a Hollywood jump. A tactical jump weapons are rigged with rucks and battle rattle, strapped to body. About 50' above the ground, ruck, gear, and weapons are released to hang below the jumper on an 18' lowering line. The "thump" of your kit hitting the ground tells you you're about to arrive (really helps on pitch dark night jumps).
