Bro A PR IS A PR. It doesn't matter how you lifted it cuz your form will get better soon. Don't listen to these insecure b*tches who whines all day on the Internet. CONGRATS BRO!
Good lift bro, keep working on that form
this is the definition of ego lifting. a desperate need to hit a PR so you completely sacrifice form just to achieve an arbitrary number, forgetting about the injury risk and only thinking about the short term dopamine, grown adult can't think ahead, pathetic
That's kinda harsh bro. Just a kid lifting some fucking weight. Sure, you're right that's its an ego lift. And I'm sure OP will look back at this video in a couple years laughing his ass off. But like I said, it's just a kid. Encourage him with some good advice without being a massive dickhead okay?
I'm not a grown adult, I'm barely 17. I also don't care
and the trash form gives you a false sense of accomplishment, feeling like you actually completed the lift when in actuality, your bad form allowed other muscles to get involved and help you that aren't supposed to be involved at all, AS WELL AS increasing injury risk for zero benefit, did you not think at all? or are you so dense that you think the lift is completed as long as you lift it up? people have zero understanding of injury risk, biomechanics, proper form, or discipline
Bro calm down 💀
why would you post a lift with incorrect form that increases chance of lower back injury? did you not think about impressionable children who might watch this and emulate it and end up injuring themselves? or did you not think that far ahead?
there are people like Togi promoting gambling and steroids and you are worried about me lightly lifting my ass of the bench. I also don't tihnk many "impressionable" children have access to a bench and a barbell. 😂
Whats wrong with u
strong leg drive brother, but try to do it like a leg extension instead of pressing into the floor so that your butt stays on the bench - you'll feel more planted as well
That’s clean man :)
Doesnt count when you lift your butt off the bench… so 0 reps done
People always tell me this and I disagree because I am not a powerlifter and I lift for fun so to me as long as the weight goes down and up that's all that counts, also there is no set in stone rule for benching so by your knowledge I should also have to pause it on my chest for it to really count
@@jackkacz lifting butt off the bench is exactly how you cause lower back issues so yeah i'd say it's pretty objectively wrong, and incorrect form to make the exercise easier isn't just "another way to do it", it's you being too weak to do it correctly, it's puss puss behavior to act like you doing it wrong is just "another way to do it", how about take accountability like an adult and fix your form? YOU'RE DOING IT OBJECTIVELY WRONG
WHY ARE YOU HUMPING THE AIR AHAHAH
Good stuff bro
my man made the press bech a glute excersice, pretty impressive tho 🤘
Good job with the progress but you’re better off going lighter weight and focusing more on form for now
Good job brotha! I’d stay with that weight until you can do it without humping the air as much, but I’ve been there too. Good form (not 100% clean perfect form) will always take you farther in the long run! Keep pushing brotha
sorry dude but the reps dont count, next time drive with ur leg backwards instead of up.
Do i need to wait for the judge to yell "press!" Too?
@@jackkacz dude ur wasting ur time incorrectly, + that form is only gonna get u so far without an injury. So set ur ego aside and actually try to learn something from constructive criticism
@@jackkaczWaiting for a judge's queue per competitive powerlifting and using basic form are two very different things. By lifting your butt off the bench - and not just a little bit, you're really getting up there - you are fundamentally altering the lift. You are changing the moment arms and where the force vector aligns with your body such that this really can't be considered a flat bench press anymore - the way you're lifting, this is essentially a decline bench press. You're recruiting more of your lower chest and minimizing your range of motion. I also see you're wearing a lifting belt, which I suspect may be due to lower back pain brought on by this poor technique. Lower the weight and use good form, otherwise you may get an injury. But yes, per the other comments here, 0 reps were performed in this video.
good stuff man, whats your bw
162
That’s great progress bro. The only problem is your butt keeps coming off the bench meaning none of the reps actually counted. Try using your legs to drive your body horizontally backwards instead of up.
Same observation
Maybe not counted in a powerlifting setting, but what percent of people care about that standard to the tee? Yes, try to keep your butt on the bench, as that’s proper form and will translate to better performance/strength in the long run. But saying none of the reps actually counted is kind of a dull statement to make when he clearly is doing some work here.
Like other guy said I'm not a powerlifter, if the weight goes up and down that's all I care about.
@jackkacz you're wasting your time lifting incorrectly. You arch your back eventually the spine will get damaged. Your rotars will F up. Why not lower the weight and gradually increase it using a spotter. That makes gains occur faster.
@@cougars5499 I agree with you in a one rep max sense, this isn’t a powerlifting meet so who cares. The thing is he is cheating his reps during his rep work, all that does is enforce bad technique and actually hinders his progress.
Oh the owe im gonna do it or die
Yeaaahhhh budddyyyy 🔥🔥
Good work 👏🏼👏🏼
Like nothing bro good stuff
Not an insult but you look like u could max 315 with ur physique bros a genetic god
thanks bro, priciate it
Best feeling ever fs
Let’s go!
No clips, no safety bars, no shirt; no common sense…
well I don't use clips because if I fail then I'll be stuck under the bar, I don't use a shirt because I can stick to the bench better, and I don't use saftey bars because I have a death wish (joking). I understand your concerns though.
@ I was a little harsh, but if you’re going to be posting online for others to see, make some effort for safety… Thx
Bro you gotta fix your technique, it’s awful.
Don’t hate on yourself keep your head up and always work harder than the day before trust me you’ll get it
@@BrendenColeman-hw3xe thanks for the wise words, was so close
You’ll get it bro
@@gavinknobloch9485 going for it again on Sunday
@@jackkaczgood luck, I’m assuming that’s 225? if so that’s crazy at your bw
@gavinknobloch9485 yeah it is, thanks, bro
This is a sign I should prolly train rear delts now😭(w physique my boi)
they lowkey fun ngl
use safe tool to stop the bar before hit your neck. use safe in squats too
Unfortunately it's just water, when you stop taking it after some time muscle shrink to the size they were before.
U need a spotter
ur breaking form on the way up, ur gonna injure ur rotator cuffs and shoulders.
Yeah good think for noticing, he needs to fix that asap
yeah, the range was too wide, it could badly damage on his shoulder and chest
@@boytmsword9209 That’s why i left the comment, 19 and both my shoulders click so loud you can hear it standing beside me
Brdr try to not widen ur elbows And be consistent
Looks very stupid. You're better off doing like 170 for reps with correct form until you can add more weight. 1 rep mosquito form ego lifting is useless
How am I ego lifting? 😅
Great video, man! I have some advice, make sure to do warm up sets when going for a pr. I never stretched or did warm ups benching, until i injured my self. Now i never forget. Rememebr that stretching and warms ups are very important
@RedOrBlue-177 yeah I stretch and warm up before going to prs, I start with just the bar and go up from there. I even warm up my back and biceps too.
@@jackkacz good for you man! Keep up the good work
@@RedOrBlue-177 thanks bro!
Stop before you get hurt always keep somebody behind you just in case the weight falls because those last reps your doing are hard for you your shaking each time. Just looking out keep grinding and people will acknowledge you. Great job😁
Let’s go man, so close to 2 plates
Dude, your gonna need a spotter if your gonna do that
Insane progress good job bro
Bro got the same pfp as me😂😂😂
those who know:💀-------> hawk tuah respect
Let’s go keep it up. You’re doing amazing.
