40 horse Paige steam engine (running on air)

40 horse steam engine built by the Paige MFG. CO. Gainesville OH in believed to be the late 1800's. (Correct me if I'm wrong) running for the first time in 20 years. (On air.) The engine is out of the old Peter Schroeder Brewery in Perham, MN.
What a gem of a team getting the old. War horse out thank you all
Engine sounds great , love seeing old machines brought back to life .
The end result was truly magnificent by just putting the time into the rebuild. Well Done! Thanks for sharing
That’s a salvage not a rescue.
I don't understand how this was preserved so well in that swamp
Nice the vintage bulldozer 🎉🎉
This would make a great Steven King movie😂
Make sure and check the oil in that before you start it
Linda historia...
Who went swimming to hook the cables to the dozer?
Amazing recovery!
dude the obnoxious music has gotta go man
Wow, even the yellow paint is still on the winch
Imagine the archeologists in 600 years, saying bulldozers were a myth. This object has been identified by experts as part of a religious structure.
Read that story, also! Remember it today!
That fromt blade is worth a bunch of money if its still good..ever beat up they have good value
It would be nice to have a dozer like that with no computer and no diesel exhaust fluid!
Real nice event love old equipment. Nice to see it running. Cudos to you all!!!!
So impressed with what they did. That engine runs good! Amazing that they could get the engine overhauled and running so well after so many decades under water. Love the patina they left on it.
The low O2 enviornment of the swamp muck preserved it. what a good job fellas!!
Incredibly well preserved..
I can not get my Lawn Mower running after sitting True the Winter but you recover a tank under water ! Please send me your Cell number !
What a WAIST OF TIME! GAINT POS!
MN swamps and Ore pits have tons of old steel in them that were abanoned or sunk. Cool save bud!
a wise man once said: “they don’t build em like they used to”
Надо выло,сразу передачу, выключить Легче было бы тащить
Merlin from Merlin’s Old School Garage will have that back to work in no time at all.
Thats impressive ! Another piece of history saved, proof of start to end.
Great the mystery will no longer live on. Maybe dig deeper like oak island. 😂😂😂
Definitely in good condition for it's age and being underground for so long in ground water
It cost a good amount to recover that machine so it must be worth it or they would not have done it.can anyone give me the story please and thank you
Does the heart good to see something like the revival of this old piece of iron.
Well done to all involved sounds sweet seamed to run out nicely
best machines scrapping in a junkyard but wasting time and human recourses to find abandoned useless wrecks to give life again
A fantastic recovery of what could be said as local legend, is now a factual piece of local history. 👍
How did the top get smashed up?
Who else seen this on TikTok 😂
Came from your mom's house
Ok so how does this work, if the TD24 was rescued in the winter of 2019, but the restoration began in the spring of 2019 shouldn't it be that it was rescued in the winter of 2019 and restoration began in spring of 2020?
Winter isn't just the end of the year, beginning as well. Could've been rescued in jan/feb (winter) of 2019 and restoration began in spring that same year
@@kotten9534 true, my bad I had forgotten about the beginning of the yr as well. -(note to self, don't comment when tired.)-
I’ve heard story’s of “swamp tractors” all my life, but this is the first one I’ve actually seen.
that tow truck is a BEAST
Would be interesting to know what was required to get it running and driving. Regards Chris Bailey
Really enjoyed the video, thanks to all that took part in this rescue.
Молодцы! Привет из России!
It's fascinating that it would still roll.
Will it start?
Looks good. can you tell me .. the serial number on the engine cover when recovered was 8B3762. You have changed it to match the body number of 3A575E. Was this because the original cover was probably a replacement and it should be the same as the body number? In your recovery film at 10.26 you can see the 8B3762 clearly.
Wow amazing I watch the first video of it coming out of the ground few years back now to see it running amazing thank you for getting it running
Love watching this sort of thing . Like the ‘Take The Long Way Home’ music during the loading. Nice choice.
I see its a military dozer. Why was it in that swamp? How did it get there? Did you have to rebuild the motor?
that song fits with the whole scenario; it's definitely taking the long way home.
Excellent. !!
