    Hey Josh, want to say thank you for this video, I have only been here for 2 yrs and first year getting to hunt. This makes it easy to find places without driving around for hours on end. I am a backpacker and was an archery instructor for yrs. I don't live far from the area and gonna try it out this Labor day weekend. Still learning how to hunt Arizona. Thank you very much for your channel.

    Good video! I think Spot Hogg has one of the easiest methods for getting a sight tape with their calibration scale. The only suggestion I disagree with is getting your pins as high in the housing as possible. It's fine if you're not going to dial much beyond 60 or 70 yards. If someone wants to maximize their distance, they'll want the pins as low in the housing as possible. I'd even argue working backwards and getting your bottom pin sighted in as close to the bubble as possible at the max distance your housing will sit at rest (IE 60 yards). Then you can work backwards to get 50, 40, etc sighted in. Any gap between the bottom pin and the bottom of the housing is lost yardage on the dial.

    Chase the field point. Move the rest toward the field point. Rest controls trajectory of the arrow. Once broadhead is hitting with the field point then adjust the sight to get your center. The other solution is 2 two bows...one for field points and the other for broadheads.

    Well , it was worth the early morning drive for sure. Seriously, some really good 80 yard shooting. On all my sighting in work I use vertical & horizontal lines but I only shoot to 60. That’s about as far as I can tell I where the pin really was at the break. 1” wide blue painters tape on a white background works great. Now, all you need is to find a good bear cause’ it appears you’re a “ Dialed in hunter”. 👍👍. Good video again.

    • @DialedinHunter

    The loadlifters are a bit too high, aka your backpack is a bit too tall for you. They should sit more horisontal whilst you have them at around 45 degrees. Otherwise a great video!

    • @DialedinHunter
      @DialedinHunter 11 днів тому

      Thanks so much for chiming in, and kudos for noticing that. Those load lifters are VERY intentionally put at 45 degrees rather than horizontal. Load lifters are meant to help "lift" the load off of your shoulders. In my experience, horizontal load lifters result in weight being pulled backward and against your shoulders. This isn't likely a huge issue for things like backpacking, although it should still apply for optimal performance. Where you'll really notice the inefficiency, though, is having 80-100 pounds in the pack, which is incredibly common for people that backpack hunt. Thank you for the kind comment on the video and I hope that makes sense. 🙏🏼

    • @Hildale86
      @Hildale86 10 днів тому

      @@DialedinHunter Absolutely, wasn't ment to ruffle feathers. I was going to add that it all depends on what kind of terrain you are traversing but the little one demanded attention so I had to cut it short. :) In my experience, having a more horisontal position of the loadlifters "snugs" the backpack a bit more to your body, which I prefer carrying 40-60 pounds for 5+ days, but I see your point when going heavy.
