I'm not sure if the grid was meant to be there but when Snufkin looked at the stars it made it look like there was a roof over. And that got me thinking. Even tho he should feel free at that moment he might still be bound by his thoughts and feelings to Moomin/other things. He can never truly be free that man, even tho he so desperately craves it. Really loved the animatic, amazing work!

A friend showed me this and it got me full bright-red-in-the-face, unable-to-get-words-out, tears-pooling-on-my-chin gasping for breath. Thank you for your tenderness and your patience. I have only the most basic secondhand knowledge of Moominvalley and have never heard this song, but you are so clear and evoke such a powerful emotional throughline that I feel like I better understand both. This honors a piece of the human condition that I don’t think I’ve ever seen celebrated, or at least not with this unabashed sincerity. What a blessing to be alive at a time when people can freely share art like this.

This is so perfectly beautiful, I have no words. I didn't know the song before and I'm happy about that cause since now it will always remind me of your artwork as well as the canon representation. It seems to be the rightest choice for Sunfkin. Also, the ending is so lovely. Both Moomintroll and Snufkin deserve it very much. Hopefully we get to see such a gesture in a movie or a series before we retire. Thank you so much for your devotion🤍💚

After seeing the last episode of the third season, which I dragged out watching oh for so long, I can't help but feel that this is the end. All the logical character arcs have ended, the story of those beautiful creatures is told, and Moominvalley is already only a memory, even though this show has been a home to me for so long. I know season 4 has already been greenlighted, but I get a wrong feeling about it, that it's going to be worse than the rest. So maybe this is a goodbye. Even your tremendously incredible and beautiful animation that deserves all the love in the world seems like it. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world! I'll remember it for a long time

This is definitely one of, if not THE, prettiest moomin animatics I've seen on youtube and it captures so much in such a short span of time. There's clear longing and sorrow and love and excitement and all the snippets from old and new stories just ties it all together in a beautiful narrative~ So flippin well made I honestly cannot praise it enough (nor have I said anything that hasn't already been said, but it bares repeating regardless.) You worked hard on this and it shows!! You should be so proud of what u accomplished here~

1 year later and as im revisiting this old “just an intrest” as now my new hyperfixation. my lord this is just gorgeous, i resonate with snufkin alot, hes one that many can relate to for multiple reasons! this captured many pieces of snufkin that i find important and honestly its crazy!! your art is so well done and i hope you go places w your art and animations♡︎also omfg snufkin kissing moomins hand at the end had me deadass jaw dropped…(not in a bad way ofc)

MASTERPIECE I TELL YOU MASTERPIECE!

As someone with wanderlust, this hits home(ha) but in all the right places. The way I see things you have to leave, no matter what, to enjoy what home felt like. Home can be anything, people, nature, a rock you once saw but to truly understand what that word means, you need a little bit of time to yourself. I mainly ask, sure you can have your home with you (like a tent) but is that really home? Each person will have their own experiences and opinions on what home means and thats the thrill, you make your home as you go. Snufkin has been a big inspiration for me to just do it and for those who also feel this way, i suggest you start small. Monthly or weekly camping will help. You'll soon find a way of doing what you love even if it means having to take a while to get there and thats just fine. Remember: You'll always have a home to return to at the end of every adventure.

the way you can show motion with still frames is crazy. I adore this, that scene with the bird standing on the branch staring down at snufkin was crazy good. And the hand kiss at the end 😭😭. what a masterpiece.

I watched this not too long after it came out and fell in love with it basically lol, ive rewatched it a bunch since then, the art, editing [blurs and transitions], the grayscale, the music, all of it is so impactful and also very wholesome ?? I love this alot
