TOUR OF CASTEL SANT' ANGELO, TREVI FOUNTAIN, & ROME'S GREATEST SWEET SHOP!
I'm planning a trip right now. What is the name of your hotel? When were you there? It looks very busy. Thanks.
I'll have to look it up. My wife booked it. I'll get back to you soon.
They should add xLights!
@@LibertyLaneLights xlights?
I love the music you chose for this video. You are very lucky that your wife is from Rome and can give you the authentic experience which tourists can rarely have nowadays, Italy is no longer the Italy of 50-60 years ago. which was so much more exciting and vibrant. It really was "la dolce vita" in those years following the re-building of the country after the second world war After migrating to Australia 40 odd years ago, none of us would ever consider living there again only to watch Italy's further decline.
@@yvanapantino273 glad you like the music for the video. I tried to pick music that fits the video. I’m hoping people will appreciate it. It’s nice to have family in Italy for sure. My wife’s parents are a huge help. They pick us up from the airport. They give us a place to crash for a few days they let us use their carbonus thanks for watching
Sounds like you've had a little taste of Italian bureaucracy. It is the most unprofessional behaviour deliberately designed to suffocate the masses, train them to jump through hoops at every twist and turn regarding things that are nonsensical. Don't move to Italy permanently or your life will become an endless frustration, especially hearing your plans for the place. Bureaucracy didn't always exist like nowadays, Ask your in-laws. My son messengered me last night saying the south was like a third world country and he doesn't even want to visit it again. We were from Livorno in Tuscany originally, and never bothered going to Rome or south bc we already hated mega-cities like Rome where ppl are stressed by an environment that humans were never designed to live in.. Thank God we migrated to Australia in 1983. bc we could see the writing on the wall even back then. It'll be interesting to see how much Tuscany has changed. My son said it gave him a renewed appreciation of Australia and he would never live in Italy.
I’m with you. I’m really starting to think twice about moving to Italy. I was thinking that I might retire there but now I’m thinking maybe not. It’s a property passes to us. Maybe we’ll sell it and retire somewhere else. We’ll see.
My sons just left Rome after visiting their cousins there and reported the food is shocking in the touristy areas. They said even airport food was better than anything they could find. Obviously, they have to go more regional or smaller towns and cities for decent food bc Romans only care about the food they eat themselves, not you. My boys binned what they ate from pasta to focaccia flabbergasted that they could get simple pasta or pizza so wrong. They are now in Palermo , a smaller city, visiting family and it's a completely different food experience and as they travel more northwards to Tuscany and Venice to visit yet other relatives,, the food eating out experience should improve vastly as Italians there tend to care more about food in general. The boys said there is no real Italian culture any more in mega-cities like Rome.
@@yvanapantino273 yeah that makes sense so many tourists in Rome all the small businesses want to make money off of them. The restaurants are to make quick food. They want the tourist to sit down and leave and keep the ball rolling so they can keep making money they don’t care about quality, want to take some frozen food heated up in the microwave put it on a plate and bring it out to the tourist money and send them their way
please tell us the names of these churches! Nice Video!
@@editiongauglitz2028 I’ll find out soon.
Blessings for you all ❤

That's basically a Tiny Home, which is a very popular world wide trend atm.
Those Maremmas are very naughty dogs, We used to have one years ago, Do you know anything about farming or are you a city boy.?
@@yvanapantino273 HA! Yea I’m not a farmer. I’m a remodel contractor here in Seattle Washington. Use to be a guitar player.
@@Daretotravel-bp9sn That's a very useful skill you have on a rural property. Now all you have to do is tear your hair out with dealing with the local council that gives permission for what and how you build according to their regulations, not what you were taught to do in America. They just love bureaucracy over there, partly why we don't live there now but return occasionally to visit relatives.
@@yvanapantino273 Yes the local government is ridiculous. I’ve heard it from a few people and had a little experience with it myself.
I've got a 2 year old , best decision I've ever made

Thank you! Yes it's very exciting. Not sure what we are going to do yet. Mom and dad are staying there right now.
Oh my goodness like those metal SHUTTERS are all over Europe Spain Italy everywhere and when you're at them off your coast. The thing you do is you get in that beautiful water at least once because when you walk down to the water it's gorgeous and so nice to swim in. Well, I hope you had a good time😊✌️

Yes she is from Italy but moved over here when she was still in High school. Thats pretty cool you live close to us. We live in Bothell! @@kathifailor4660
@@Daretotravel-bp9snNice 👍😀
Lol I guess you haven't researched Italy too much or seen that every house Apt etc has those metal SHUTTERS😅 they're usually on every window in the house and a sliding door or a door. If it has glass, to the right of the curtain there should be either a cord you pull and the metal SHUTTER will come up. Or there's a button you push. You don't lift it up HAHAH 😅 You probably broke it. !!!!!I can't believe you haven't seen those on every SINGLE house in Italy and they go up so you can't even notice they're there. They go all the way up and disappear practically and then the reason why they have those is they put them down because the sun is so hot that when they put them down it keeps your home cool and A lot of the people that live in Italy have vacation homes so they put those metal shutters down or 6 months or 3 months till they come back. But it's a thing in Italy. It's not for protection. It's a Italy is safe. It's just what they do and I cannot believe we've never seen one of those. They're on every single home apartment so that's funny. I hope you didn't break it. They have a pulley like a cord that you pull or they have a an electrical button on the side. I saw two buttons on the side of the curtain
A little humility please....
It happens all the time.
