23' Scout Bobber here. Seriously, spend the $700 (progressive 444 shocks) and change your riding life. I tried taking and adding pre-load to the stock shocks like you're doing here and while it helped a very little bit, replacing the stock shocks is a complete game changer. Whole new, better, bike. I appreciate moneys tight for us all but if you can and you do, you'll be thanking me.

I’ve been looking at the scout but with the reduced reach handle bars, how’s the height comfort for you with the standard mid rise? I’m 5’5 and not a fan of the elevated arm position.

Shorty's work great when you point them down. I pointed them out words & I needed ear plugs but once I pointed them down, I didn't need the plugs anymore 👌

5’4” here. I tested this bike in my local dealership and i can plant my two feet on the ground. I’ve finally found a powerful bike that is perfect for my height 😂

I hope you are doing well. I haven’t seen you post in a while. I am thinking of getting a 2024 or 2025 super scout or scout or rogue with the limited tech. Hard choices and been doing researching. What’s your opinion? It be for my first bike, then 3-6 months later have my wife ride with me until she feels comfortable to get her own bike.

I’m from Houston Texas and we have horrible drivers here but sir i have visited California many of times and I must say I have been very afraid of the way they drive . The roads are confusing and the accidents I passed were still there and you can tell the occupants probably didn’t make it . I like the way the buses turn and if you not paying attention….. ooooooh weeeee !

I saw a post where they put both bikes on a dyno. They make almost identical power until 6000 rpms. Low end torque is what most people care about. The 6th gear on the scout is not really necessary in my opinion, you can easily cruise at 80 in 5th on the sixty. I found a sixty for a great deal at $6k, I definitely do think it was the right choice. If I wanted a fast bike I would get a vmax, vrod, or ftr. I don’t think the extra 2-4k for the big scout is worth it.

I didnt ride 400 km/h bikes so i never needed to do this nor would i do this... Stay where your place is.. Not only that its respectfull towards other drivers on the road but in this case that act would save him alot of embarrassment points for later in life hahah
