I have a retriever with a fine undercoat - I cannot imagine how long it would take for huskies to thoroughly dry if my dog takes hours even after towelling her several times!

Why have your dogs tied up so close to a tree. My dogs most of time where off leash when I backpack also they had tracking devices on then just in case but they would stay close.
