yah i believe some people do race them in the 1/28 class or 1/24 scale class, i dont think its very common but i could be wrong, i guess you just gotta look really hard to find a club or group of people into it thats close to where you live. mini z is very expensive but they are realy so much fun. thats awesome you are making a track though, are you going to post videos of the track? also thanks for watching i appreciate it :)

i have it setup so that its always locked but you can adjust the nut on the diffs to make it more like a lsd or an open diff, you just have to tighten or loosen the nut on the diff to set it the way you want it

same prob with my 144010,the axles from the alu parts where too thin,so all was wobbling.i spent 4 days to make them better,building new axles from 2mm hss drill,glued the bearings in and so on.But now it running so much nicer,- and super quiet on the road.But i believe,for this small Cars it is an challenge,if the parts are not perfect.Maybe free up the ball joints with polish liquid and turn them with a dremel?

yah i got a couple different sets and this seemed to be the best one, there are a few things about it that are not ideal but it works, some of the parts are going to be replaced though at some point to further fine tune everything, thanks for watching i appreciate it :)

@@Matthewhobeez something going on with my front end....It's weird. turns fine, but one is spinning off then other so i drift one way super wide if not straight Then other side is normal. ugh.

its because one side will turn more freely than the other when friction is applied to the wheels, i had the same issue, the best fix is to get a ball diff for the front or to lock the front diff completely, hope that helps

@@Matthewhobeez Ok, I think i will do the Lock diff in the Front also. One thing i did notice is it is Way more responsive with the back locked. I'll order some metal ones soon also. No matter what it is FUN.

Thanks for watching, and yah it is a nice little car, i have not tried it on carpet yet, i definately will have to though, the stock drift tires are quite slick on concrete maybe too slick so i was thinking of putting some ds racing LF 3's on it and trying those out

thats interesting, yah man sometimes it just is what it is n you gotta make the best of it, whatever problem you face though you will be able to overcome it, just remember its all about having fun. Thanks for watching :) and i saw your message yesterday so i played with my car a bit today trying to see if it has the same issue as yours and as far as i can tell it does not, the power seems pretty steady wherever i am on the throttle going in a straight line or while turning so your issue could be the esc/reciever combo or there could be gears binding or something else creating extra friction when you get on the throttle. im not realy sure what is the actual cause of the issue, i hope you get it figured out though.

yes they are mostly the same, the wheels have a different outer diameter but they fit on the same size spindle. most if not all parts will be interchangeable. thanks for watching my video i appreciate it :) ill have lots of new ones coming soon.

nice! thats awesome! I do love my mini z, its definately worth every penny. Im not sure if i like it better i would just say its different and has its own pros and cons. The mini z is very good quality though. The 284010 is nice and im planning on making it rwd soon but im going to upgrade and mod it 1 thing at a time and see the differences and figure out what i like about it and what i dont.

No mine doesnt do that as far as i have noticed but i will pay closer attention to it and try to tell if it does or not, if i do notice this with mine i will let you know

I bought the White Stock AE86 MA-020 and the body had closed headlights but they are removable and came with a set of poped up ones that you can screw in. They were in the box along with the manual and extra gears.

@@Matthewhobeez ohhh! Maybe I don’t need the initial d versions anymore then. I was upset that they didn’t have the pop up headlights like those versions

Yah the headlights come with the stock AE86 version so if you bought that one they would come in the box and you could put them on the car yourself, its just 1 screw holding each headlight in, im not sure if they would come with the body if you bought the body alone though, you might have to research that a bit. Sorry i do not, i could go measure and give you a rough estimate if you like but i just draw tracks with chalk, drive them a bit then i erase them and make new ones. It is very fun though, thanks for watching my videos i appreciate it, it means alot.
