Crutchfield is a great source of information. They also provide install directions for free. I JUST installed 4 of those Rockford Fosgate X2 line of speakers and they are perfect for an OEM stereo.
Crutchfield is one of places where you can buy car speakers they have more options compared to Best Buy and when you put your vehicle model on there, it’ll tell you it’ll become Bose or the basic stereo system. I’ll tell you about the radio and we’re on the locations where your speakers have.
Almost every modern car now actually just uses plastic bass speakers but even some of the newer Dodges still use metal 6 by 9 so there's still some decent car manufacturers left but not many
@@noahforrester4537 Nissan still has their metal speakers for the sedans in the rear deck lotta car companies except for Chrysler Dodge and Jeep have the plastic speakers. It might be located in the rear deck, but a lot of modern sedans have door speakers inside rear deck speakers, but there are some out there like the high and models like the Chevrolet Impala premier the 2014 up to 2020 had the rear deck Bose plastic basket to a speaker rest of the brands like Honda Toyota and Hyundai for the rear deck. It will have a subwoofer that’s the only thing metal is the subwoofer with the metal basket and the thing about these new speakers are from the material of the plastic compared to the metal ones they had back in the day replace the speaker is challenging. I mean, you have to buy a bracket if you don’t want I’d say to cut the basket to takeoff the ring to put the new speaker in when cars used to have metal speakers. It was easy to swap them. You just take the old speaker out mainly buy a wire harness connector to connect to the terminals in your aftermarket speaker hooked up to the stock or just cut the wire and soldered the new wire for your new speaker in there. Just called to put it in put the four screw screws or three screws because some cars back in the day did have three screws holder 6 1/2 and 6 x 9 in and Ford back in the day was the only car Ford in Lincoln to use 6 x 8 rest of the car manufacturers will use 6 x 9 for the rear deck 6 x 9 in the door or 6.5 in the door or 6.5 in the rear deck or four by tens newer cars don’t even use four by tens anymore. You rarely find. 4x10 or 4x6 order cars used 4x10 like the Chevrolet trailblazer two door older General Motors vehicles from the 80s and the 90s did had 4x10 it’ll be hard to make a plastic one for a 4x10 or 4x6 the ones you’re gonna see now will be 6 x 9 or 6.5 or 5 1/2 speakers and they’re not gonna be metal. They’re gonna be plastic basket with a quarter size magnet or a traditional magnet you can find on Hyundai Hyundai cars on speakers Hyundai use 6.5 and their magnets on those are regular magnets. He find an old metal speaker and harness connector will be connected to the top lot of newer cars will use a dust cap except for a wizard cone Dodge uses a dust cap now under fake alpine system originally they had a wizard cone on her 6 x 9 that was known for Dodge with their speakers the Chrysler speakers are known for the wizard cone and cars will also still use 2.7 fives or 3.5 inch speakers or 1 inch Twitter that’ll be mounted on the side where the door is or on the door panel lot of luxury cars like Audi Mercedes and BMW in the 90s. They had to plastic basket speakers before all the other companies switch to that Ford switch to to place like basket ones around 2015. Hyundai switched her to the plastic basket once around like 2011 in all cars Chevrolet used plastic speakers around 2006 on some of their cars I mean it’s cheaper to make it has better base these new speakers and a wooden bend so the basket will last a long time it wouldn’t rust like the old ones old metal ones they’re known to rust and lie car manufacturers, saving money like that I mean, that’s the future for cars. They’re all plastic speakers, the benefits having a plastic speaker over a metal speaker the basket wouldn’t rust like the old metal ones. I’ll pretty much last a long time compared to the old metal ones and has better base compared to the old metal ones where all these new cars now all these new cars have better speakers better sounding, and a lot of people rarely replace them. A lot of people would like to have a bow system a Harman Carden, JBL or a B&O those are the high-end ones Bose car factory speakers. Al perform the regular factory speakers car manufacturers who used to use infinity or switch into Bose or Harmany Carden sound. B&O or JBL the most popular ones you can find will be Bose or JBL back in the day Acura had pioneers and rear deck 6 x 9 like subwoofers now newer car speakers now are better acting like subwoofers in a car company who makes the best plastic basket speakers will be Hyundai because it’s the only company that uses the four screw holes instead of a clip or one screw hole in the cliplike other car manufacturers and the magnet is just a basic speaker magnet same size as a quarter that you find on Hondas Honda is pretty much all their speaker magnets are the same size a quarter or meant to be blown and that last longer compared to Hyundai
This is very helpful thank you
@@RickTuka you’re welcome
Idk why people are always complain about plastic car speaker frames. It has a purpose of being light weight. Thats why all new car speakers have plastic frames. Also car speakers don't have to look good since they are always behind a grill. They just have to sound good
@@theloudspeakernerd-tlsn9322 some of the newer car speakers have a small magnet the same size a quarter not a standard magnet you find on a older car speaker with a metal frame
@Anthonygarage the small magnet is a neodiniym magnet, they are muuch more powerful than ferrite ring magnets therefore they dont need to be as big at all
@@theloudspeakernerd-tlsn9322 the small magnet on his newer car speakers are easy to blow now speaker replacement. You have to buy a ring or you have to cut it off on the stock speaker to fit a aftermarket speaker compared to the older speakers. You just removed the old speaker remove the wire harness you could buy adapter or cut off the old wire harness and soldered the new wire for the speaker hook up the terminals put the speaker in and that’s it. There’s no cutting or no by name speaker ring on Crutchfield.
When u pushed the speaker down on that kicker you scratched the shit out of that voice coil
@@F.B.l if you push down on one side of the speaker a lot it’s gonna pretty much ruin the speaker if you push down on evenly it’s not gonna rub the coil
Nice. My pool is an above ground and has no drain. Just a skimmer

These drain covers ain’t dangerous. If you stay away from them then there’s no issues. People just don’t have common sense anymore. It’s the people that’s dangerous, not the covers.
@TheJakeman789 Well Sometimes People don't even see the Drains. Especially in Hot Tubs where you can't see them due to the blower being on most the time. So therefore, the Non VGB Drain Covers are Dangerous.
@@TheJakeman789 older, swimming pool drain covers are dangerous people go near them for no reason you see people live those grates up and stick there hands in there. I've seen alot of these during my Childhood. I believe they Replaced Flat drain covers with these before the Vgb law.
That cover does not comply with the Virginia grand Baker law because more water gets forced around the side and there’s no holes on the top like the waterway plastics cover
@Haywardpowerflolx but what I meant was, before the Vgb law, these drain covers replaced Some broken flat ones.
I have a Request on my mind. I want to see you do a review on the pool drain cover from timothy green.
I don’t have the Aqua star drain cover if I ever do get one I’ll make a review on it
NOW THAT LOOKS LIKE PURE NIGHTMARE FUEL!!!!!!!
Lot of older Pentair square covers work thin that’s why they break
@Haywardpowerflolx That's probably why Pentair Started making Raised Drains in the late 80s, like the Afras Design. But even the Afras Raised Drain Covers would Brake. I was at a hot tub in 2006 with afras Drain Covers. One was Missing, but was on a table completely broken. The one in the Hot Tub was Cracked as well. When they upgraded to have dots on the top, they made them Stronger.

@Haywardpowerflolx The Afras Drain Cover was the First Pool drain I ever laid eyes on. I was Scared of it when I was little, but it's actually a interesting design.
By the way, in the Movie Timothy Green, I thought the Drain he was sitting next to was a Aqaustar cover.

@Haywardpowerflolx I haven't seen the full movie, but the part where's he's sitting by the pool drain, which is also seen in the trailer, looks like a Aqaustar drain cover. And there's another pool scene?
In lazy rivers the drains have to be flat to prevent toes getting jabbed on raised covers when people are moving down the fast currents. if they are floor mounted, that’s why you will see some lazy rivers have abnormally large drains and that’s to make them Unblockable since lazy rivers have to put out more power than your average pool does and smaller drains pose a bigger entrapment hazard. They look scary but in reality they are safe as long as the cover isn’t damaged or missing.
@@coastlinecruiser8429 raise swimming pool drain covers have smaller holes than the flat ones. The flat drain covers have bigger holes and they can cause suction treatment. It’s hard to get stuck on a raised cover because it’s anti-vortex.
