    Even as a Longhorns fan I have the upmost respect for Graham Harrell and Mike Leach. That era of TT and college football in general was a pleasure to watch.

      +ranger082469 I didn't say Tech was, you are the one who is claiming people should be scared to play A&M in college station. But seeing as how A&M did all they could to dodge having to play us in the texas bowl I would say that A&M is clearly pretty scared of Tech.

    Man Id take this guy for many reasons 1) his right in his prime, 2) He has better speed and height than welker, 3) His already experienced with josh mcdaniels offense. No one knew welker until he came to the patriots, welker became a legend in N.E with brady. Hope this guy turns the same. Only thing concerns me, its his ability to stay healthy. Hope he stays healthy!! goo pats, get couple other receivers in free agency and draft a good receiver, re-sign edleman and talib, let vollmer walk.

    If I had to choose 6 receivers to play on one team for Tech it would be this: Michael Crabtee Joel Filani Wes Welker Jarrett Hicks Robert Johnson Detron Lewis This receiving core would be unstoppable.

    taking a wide receiver in the first round makes sense because when you have Alex Smith you need more than one good wideout. Oh yeah, did you hear about his acl injury that he was playing through last year? gee I wonder if that had anything to do with his performance.

    Hell Manning coudln't even make Crabtree look good. Why do you think they're letting him play out his contract? If he was that good he would've been resigned. Crabtree blows and Mario will end up as the #2 and Moss at #1. When everyone is playing bump and run on your receivers it says something about them. They SUCK. Crabtree is another Woods. I guess that's the only reason why everyone has the 49ers taking a WR first round because Michael Crabtree is that good.

    averaging 16 ypc and shy of 1k in 2010 is what i meant to say.

  • @dwid1984
    @dwid1984 12 років тому

    Vernon Davis was averaging 16 ypc last year and was just shy of 1k, last year he was down to 11.8 ypc and down to 792 yards, less tds and 3 fumbles, which shows that they are relying shorter routes and yac. They ran the ball 500 times last year, its a ball control offense to compliment the defense, Crabtree had almost 400 yards after the catch. The year before they ran it 400 times and 371 times in 09.

  • @dwid1984
    @dwid1984 12 років тому

    and how exactly do his stats show he is regressing? he had more catches and more yards in 1 less game than last year, yes his yards per catch dipped a little bit, but they have him runnning more possession receiver type routes, shorter ones because they are running a ball control type offense. And he is not the team's only receiver, they have Vernon Davis who is a tight end but used as a receiver quite a bit because of his 4.3 speed, his yards and ypc went down this season too, is he bad?

  • @dwid1984
    @dwid1984 12 років тому

    Rice had one of the best offensive minded coaches in the game to work with, and had offensive minded coaches teaching him how to be a better receiver. Crabtree is on a defensive minded team and the coaches aren't the best when it comes to developing wide receiver talent. Rice didn't have an impact in a postseason game until his 4th year and there were plenty of times that he didn't have much seperation but the Montana was able to place the ball where only he could catch it, Smith can't do that

  • @dwid1984
    @dwid1984 12 років тому

    um, he has Alex Smith throwing to him, hes never had a top notch qb. Yes Harbaugh will say he wants Smith as his qb but as soon as Manning is available he was all over it. Who cares what Rice has to say about it? he was a great wide receiver, but doesn't mean he can evaluate talent. He is just being over critical about a team he used to play for. If he were so good at evaluating wide receiver talent some team would pay him a ton of money to go do it. He is not the highest authority

  • @donutboy8
    @donutboy8 12 років тому

    are you kidding me? He should be having more yards knowing that he's the only receiver on that team. I guess you haven't heard what Jerry Rice had to say about him recently. Seems to me like you don't watch film. His stats for this year shows that he's regressing. 4 years and he still hasn't learned how to cut routes or muscled the dbs at the line. Look up "jerry rice michael crabtree" and tell me what he saw that I saw at the NFC championship.

  • @donutboy8

    Crabtree is doing bad because he can't adjust to the NFL. In the NFL, the db's are way stronger and faster. With his size he can't beat the press, with his speed he can't burn the dbs. He can't run routes, its sad to say that DHB is progressing while Cashtree is regressing. Welcome to the NFL.
