    Hi, I'm from South Africa. I have 2006 toyota yaris . When I start my car during day any time it starts with 1500 rpm and later after 2 minutes automatic settle to 800 rpm. How can I fix this issue?

  • @nettlesome6834
    @nettlesome6834 15 днів тому

    Question bro. You think i can put the same mods you have on a toyota echo 2001. 2 door version. Or is it too small.

    • @mrpartridge8765
      @mrpartridge8765 14 днів тому

      The echo is almost the same car as the yaris it just has less electronics. The engine and transmission are the same but the throttle body is cable drive and mine is wire. You can throttle body swap it but you have to have the 3 bolt from a 90's corolla. I'm sure you can do it just do your research before you attempt anything. I'd love to get an echo but they aren't around where I live. They rotted out years ago.

    The first head is 69mm valves and the others 64mm.. You can see the difference easily at the valve spring mating surface that is higher in the 69mm versions, and the valves are stickin out more compared to the head and rocker cover mating surface.

    Hello, I made a swap Throttle Body 1ZZ to 3ZZ but when I start the car the car revs up and down from 2 rpm to 3 rpm for 1 or 2 minutes than it goes down to 1000 rpms. It hapen every time I start the car in the morning or after some hours the car is sitting, it revs up and down. Anyone help what could it be? The car is Toyota Avensis 1.6 T25 Sedan model 2008 with Electronic Throttle Body. Thank you.

    Hello, I have a Toyota Avensis T25 1.6 2008 Manual 5 Speed 3ZZ-FE. Today I made a swap Throttle Body from Toyota Avensis T25 1.8 2008 1ZZ-FE. I also changed the hose from 1.8 because the hose from 1.6 didn't fit on the 1ZZ Throttle Body. I disconnected the negative battery when I did the process than put it back again when finished. The car was revving up and down to learn the 1ZZ Throttle Body, but now it idle at 1000 rpm. Before was idling at 650/700 rpm. What could it be? Thank you.

      @@Smodlee there is no difference in performance with the longer valves. They open and close the same amount with both sizes. The rocker arm assembly for 64mm valves will only work with those valves and vice versa. The only way to get more valve lift is a high lift cam like the a9. I hope this info was helpful.

    New to these little motors and trying to get them to go as fast and as quick as possible. I'm guessing the CVT system is a big improvement over the centrifugal clutch. How is it after letting off the gas and then accelerating again? Is it a bad lag? Is the engine hesitation from over fuel?

    • @mrpartridge8765
      @mrpartridge8765 4 місяці тому

      the best thing is to let the engine breathe. the 139qmb gy6 carb is a must have for this engine. if you can cut pipe and weld make a better exhaust. I wouldn't go over one inch pipe or you'll loose power due to less velocity in the pipe.

    This is something I want to try. I'm glad someone had already done it successfully. Did you use the standard belt? I want to do this but on my motorized bike. The problems I'm facing are the belt length, and gear ratios. I want to mount the pulleys as close together as possible but that will require sourcing a smaller belt and I haven't found one. I'm also curious what the gear range is for the cvt. My current gear reduction is 4:1 from the motor to the output of the gear reducer, and 4.4:1 final. I have 26in tires and will probably need to gear down a TON to get this to match my current gearing on the low end. Thanks for your help and thanks for being a pioneer.

    • @mrpartridge8765
      @mrpartridge8765 5 місяців тому

      It's still a work in progress I have it in storage right now for the winter. I would recommend the belt for a 139qmb gy6 shortcase. If you go too short with the belt it won't adjust properly. I'm unsure of the cvt gear ratio but the gearing after the cvt is a 5 to 1 and its still too tall. Thanks for watching and if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

      @mrpartridge8765 well poop. Looks like I make have to go back to the drawing board. The largest I can go, without making my own sproket, is 5.6:1 and my wheels are more than twice the diameter of most scooter wheels. Next time you're playing around with it can you spin the motor and see how many times the driven pulls turns in relation to the driver pulley? No worries if this can't be done. Thanks again.
