1/3 scale Slingsby T-45 Swallow Built from a PG Designs kit. Needed some down trim but otherwise flew as built.
Model of a Tiger Moth
Переглядів 247Місяць тому
The model is ¼ scale; scratch-built by Joe Pickul from Bud Barkley plans; powered by a DLE 35cc RA engine; Futaba radio; weighs about 35lbs. Watch the rudder on take-off: The Tiggy swings to the left even with full right rudder applied! I’ll tame this darn thing yet. I have heard it said of the full-size Tiggy: “They are easy to fly, but difficult to fly well!” If true, then the model seems to ...
Maiden flight of James' F-16
Переглядів 1,1 тис.2 місяці тому
Actually a re-maiden: The jet had flown before, but when he got it, James replaced the turbine and electronics. This was the first flight after the rebuild. The flight was performed at the AzMA field in Mesa, AZ

Charlie and Tim working out some wrinkles on Tim's Waco. Tim scratch-built this Waco from Waco factory plans, scaled to 1/4 scale. The engine is a Rabart radial converted to run on gas (petrol).
PT-17 - Practice Sequence
Переглядів 2209 місяців тому
Tim practices a competition maneuver sequence with the PT-17. No rowdy jets or two-strokes to drown out that growling radial.
Tim's PT-17 Stearman
Переглядів 7449 місяців тому
The PT-17 is powered by a Robart Radial engine that has been converted to gas (petrol). Hopefully Tim will include details of the model in the comments. Unfortunately the great sound of the radial is mostly drowned by the usual sounds of an event - in this case the 2024 Winter Warbirds at SVF.
Alex's DeHavilland Vampire
Переглядів 1969 місяців тому
Starting from Sterner plans, Alex modified the Vampire to the T11 trainer variant. The kit was cut by National Balsa. With a wingspan of 97", the model is 1/5th scale. The 32.5lb (dry) model gets it's motivation from a Kingtech 120N turbine. It stands on Sierra retracts. Control is via JR Matrix 22 radio. This flight was at the 2024 SVF Winter Warbirds event.

2021 Sledworks Aerotow - Saturday & Sunday
That Noel guy looks vey familiar! Hey Noel, long time no see. Never guess who got back into the game. Nice to see you still having fun.
Wow! There's a blast from the past! You still in MI?
@ yes sir. Just a tad bit older….haha
Good shots! I even got to see me!
Fantastic !
In real aircraft this would not work. The glider was far too high. It would have lifted the tugs tail to a point that the tug could not take off. The tug pilot would have no choice but to pull the release knob and leave the glider pilot to sort out his problems.
True. That's why on models the release point on the tug is intentionally close to the CG, not at the tail. When the pilots are standing on the ground, it's much more difficult to see if you are on-station, than if you are sitting in the aircraft. (By the way these are real aircraft - real model aircraft! They are not imaginary aircraft!! LOL) Thanks for your interest.
Wow I'm subed and I missed this! I filmed it same place and event but in 2023! Will we get to meet for 2024?! If you come I'll be the weird guy with the drone! Opps! we already met! LOL see ya there!
Thank you for taking the video, Noel!
Nice job Noel! May have to rig up the Stearman to pull it
This glider takes me back to the days when I was a Cadet in the Air Training Corps.
Is this near lake Havasu? Beautiful plane!
@@FrancisDrake-q3j no, it's Mesa, AZ
Hey! If your at this years event in AZ I should get to see you!
Great job on the maiden! That bird sure looks familiar...lol
Sweet flight!!! 🛩️
Nice you guy's great flying an landing , filming also , you all did fantastic
Awesome!! Great Jobs James!
Great maiden and great video work!
So freaking cool!!!
Endlich mal wieder ein MODELLBAUER und kein Schaumwaffelkonditor... Note 1.
Will this plane make it to AMPS event warbirds this year?
Not sure. Terry does not usually go to events.
@@njhunt Darn, oh well. Thanks 😊
Great video Subscribed.
Nice to see the three-bladed props.
Noel I thought Tim said it was a UMS 7 cylinder? Good flight and real nice video
Oh! My mistake then.
That is a big model of the Heinkel 111. That looks very realistic as most RC models are. I think maybe a good Battle Of Britain film can be done using these wonderful models. No CGI required.😄😄😄👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️
"ADLER TAG"!
Only 7 months to build that monster. Well done Sir!
Magnificent looking beast.
Absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful
Those spring start Zenoah's... Heavy but good!
Bob Dively plans, 48#, 23yr old model built by good friend Ward Emigh in Washington state. Pulled by a 26yr old Robart radial converted to gas by Adrian Ciulei and rebuilt by me last year. Likes to cruise a tad fast, have a 3-axis NIB to help with that. WACO is same scale and flys much slower and smoother at 33#. Spectrum radio gear of course. No arm chair judging allowed.
That looked and sounded awesome!
Beautiful 😍
Lovely. Just cruising around nice and easy, sweet.
I'm sorry I missed it I was actually trying to make it out there for that
excellent video Noel!
Impressive
No Politics, no War, no economics. Just an RC Airplane. Love it.
Hey, I know that guy!
Until I finally spotted the tow plane, I was thinking you had an awfully noisy glider. Nice job on an interesting aircraft.
Now that's nice!
Very nice planes! I would love to build one one day
That is a beautiful model, is it a HP18 replica?
Nice to see the authentic marking (ie) swastika banned is Germany of course 😂 great model 111 great upload.
nice job. true craftsmanship.
Those were a hell of a lot of material and manpower per copy just to be fed to the RAF meat grinder. Thank God
Man that was a good flight! And done slow enough that i could've followed a lot of it!
Hey Hi! 👋 I didn't even see you recording!
F-16? Well I just fly mine for commute’s during the week? I do have an awesome coffee cup holder next to the HUD? I save the F22 for the weekends.😂
I agree with another comment, Great video. I bet you miss our great weather here in Michigan.
Great video Noel! Thanks!!!
What is that engine??
Look at the opening screen 😁
