So it was just the camshaft position sensor?
It was the ipr. I had swapped the cam sensor with one I had laying around, put the original back in after the ipr.
Everybody knows what happens to liars...They become the person who gives you the weather report.
That orange looking paste in the bottom is deteriorated form a gasket or silicone the gasoline ate away at it and caused the paste to form in carburetor
My 684 will move up and down fine unloaded but loaded it won’t go down? Any suggestions?
@isaacjones3198 that's an odd one. Move the draft lever up and down see what happens. It might require internal adjustments.
I've been looking for a replacement fuel shutoff valve but I can't find them
Went to the local equipment rental shop to see if they might have the shutoff valve. They didn’t, and I wasn’t surprised. They DID have an oring which I put on the stem and it no longer leaks. 2 cent piece cost me a buck. Best $.98 cent mark up ever!
Video made 5 yrs ago so I’m guessing you’ve figured the cub 22 out by now or have moved on from it. But just in case, these are reliable. I use mine every year and about the only thing that breaks is the pitman arm. Couldn’t tell if the flat metal piece was broken at first part of video. If not, then the knife bar is set too far back. That metal piece should be straight with backward pressure on knife bar. Also, you can get a double knife section to put on end of bar to help with clogging at the end. IH made a triple section for that, but I don’t think you can find one now.
We like to see more videos of details maintenance thank you
Please can you make a video on why gas links of troy-bilt Please thank you 🙏

What's the part # for the bigger bearing ? 3517-b ?
I have lost or thrown away the parts list I had. So I'm not much help. Your local ford dealer should be able to help.
b+ video, good job River !! i learned something-- my f150 needs bearings' thanks mister!!
I won’t use 15-40 oil on my farm pro 2420 I was running it and could not build oil pressure my neighbor said he only runs 30 weight diesel oil so I switched to it and it builds great pressure so I also use it in my IH 454 and I never heard of calibrating a dip stick
30wt works for older engines. If they have been overhauled after 2000 or possibly a little earlier the bearings don't require the extra zinc. I never had issues with 15w40 in the cold but yes 30wt is thinner in cold. If you are running in very cold you should consider an even lighter oil. Dipstick calibration is just marking the correct oil level on the stick pretty simple idea. It is a caterpillar term though.
@@rivervalleyfarm482 I know that about oil my tractors are a 1999 and a 1970 and never overhauled
Never open the throttle until the engine has full oil pressure!
Nice video What tools did you use to remove the IPR? Why would cause it to bend?
I believe the problem was when It blew a high pressure oil line. I think I bent it in process of replacing the oil lines with regular hydraulic lines.
Did it fix your truck
@@troyh3299 yes
What did you do to push that spring and the snap ring in?
Pinched it in a vise and zip tied it
They were real good tractors I ran a Regular for many years .
Man I been messing around with my 584 for 3 or 4 years trying to get the 3 point to work right, doing pretty much the same as yours it would move full range with the draft but maybe just a 1/4 the way with the lift leaver, I've had a couple filter changes an O rings here and there . I hooked to the plow this spring and it quite lifting all together, so I'm going to rip the covers off and follow your lead . Thanks for the help I thought I was the only one with hyd oil dripping in my ear and not gaining on the problem. Up in western Pennsylvania woods. Thanks again
You're very welcome

Why do you lick your lips every 5 seconds?
To make you wonder why
Its fair to say you have no idea what your doing but you figured it out and thats all that matters
Neither does anyone else for the most part, editing however makes it easier.
So…..family crisis ??? …..financial crisis ???……maybe just tired of making UA-cam videos?? What ever the reason you’ve retired from video making I’d just like to say thanks so much for all you’ve done, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching what you’ve been up to on your farm, it’s been great. If you ever come out to visit the land down under please make contact, I’d love to meet you. Regards from your friend Down Under.
Was this filmed in 1942
Looks like your fan assembly is on backwards, thats why your fan is hitting the shroud.
Hey mate, haven’t heard much from you lately, hope everything is ok with you and yours. All the best for the Christmas period and have a prosperous new year. Regards from Down Under.
Be great if you finish telling us what the problem was...i watched 30+ min of your videos and im no closer to figuring this out....

It truly is a shame people are so interested in answers rather than the quest for the answer.
@@rivervalleyfarm482I watched both so was is an ipr?
Those batteries must be amazing 😂
They work well.
I grew up on a 484 back in the early 80's- I have to say I'm a little surprised to see it pull that plow like that without much trouble at all, if any. Seems to pull it just fine. My dad's 484 seemed to really struggle with pulling a 3 point disc harrow, so I wasn't expecting this. Good ol' tractor, that 484, and from what I remember that engine is damn near bulletproof- just about can't tear it up as long as you take care of it.
Hey mate, what’s been happening? Hope you and yours are fine, here’s wishing you and family have a wonderful and safe Christmas period and a prosperous new year. Regards from Down Under. P.S. How did the corn harvest go?
What did you do to change from 6v to 12v on your utility 300
I replaced the battery installed the alternator. Removed the factory wiring and voltage regulator. Ran a 2 gauge wire from the starter to the alternator. Put on a 12v coil with built-in resistor.
Would you by chance have a part number for the top & bottom yokes ??
Sorry I do not
my problem is the trans isn't engaging,,,, i can't move any of the valves in the MCV body, so i think that is where the problem lies
Possibly
I just bought a used explorer, same year. Was driving to work tonight and wanted to test the cruise control. Drove it at 71 on the highway for maybe 6 minutes and the orange check engine light came on. What do you think?
Could be anything. You can stop by a parts store autozone and oriley used to do free code checks. Or buy a cheap scantool and check it yourself.
You don’t have to spread those links gust kink the chain and hit with hammer on the side and they will slide apart
Ever heard of compressed air from a compressor, just to be sure to get it totally clean.
i need some help on my tractor
This is by and large the absolute worst video to ever exist on UA-cam and you should delete it.
Thank you for the thorough videos
Hi, I enjoy your videos. I also have a 484, just acquired last week, where do you find manuals and parts?
For manuals check farm manuals fast. Case IH still carries parts, also bates corporation is a good source. Depending on what you need lights/switches filters, local parts stores should be able to help.
does your son use the cubcadet lt 1046 or who uses it now?
Yes he does
whats your sons name?
Raylan
Like father like son👍 Great to see. Regards from Down Under.
How do you maintain those beast of machines?
Have the H he’s likely driving, have a C as well and a M they’re not hard to keep up with.
I have several old machines and I use them all sparingly. They are simple and easy to repair if necessary. But mostly it's low usage but use that keeps them going.
Winter must be on the way, hope you had a productive Summer. Regards from Down Under.
Winter is coming. It's been a dry year. Easy to make hay just not much to make. It's spring or soon to be in you neck of the woods. Hope all is well.
@@rivervalleyfarm482 Yes, today the 1st of September is the first day of our spring. Australia is of course the land of droughts, and the one we are experiencing just now is extremely bad. You would think that with the amount of droughts this country has we would be accustomed to it by now, but I can’t seem to get comfortable with it. Certainly hope the drought you have is nothing as bad as what we are having. Regards from Down Under.
Thank you for making this video I have a 464 gas tractor and I have been looking for a video for ideas in why mine is not working
Glad to be of help
@@rivervalleyfarm482 I took mine apart this morning the linkages under the plate were all hooked up still. The one thing I did notice when I took the steel plunger from in the valve that has hole through it is that it showed signs of wear on one side. I didnt have new oring to change it just curious on your thoughts about the wear one that if fluid could be bypassing it
@@justingarrison8632 it would take a serious amount of wear for it not to work at all. So try dead heading your remote valve and see it it raises then. Also move the draft control lever all the way to light and see what happens
literally no one shows themselves putting the bearings in
They are thin enough that working around them with a small hammer works pretty well. If that doesn't suit you find a socket or something that is just slightly smaller than the bearing and drive it in.
man what way do the bearings go, im so fucking annoyed on trying to find this info

Are U doing ok I haven’t seen any videos from you
I am good. Thank you for asking. Looking forward to corn harvest. I promise to film it. And actually post it. I'm having camera phone and computer troubles.
Outstanding video …….. thanks much.
Glad to be of help
Looks good have to keep on keeping on don’t get discouraged I’ve done the same thing so Ur not by yourself on trying something new
Thanks for the update, pleased you’ve getting something for your efforts, next crop will be better for sure. I find you have to be an eternal optimist if you’re going to be a farmer. Regards from Down Under.
