TD9 Dozer pulling out trees at farm
My son's first time operating an 1945 TD9 TracTracTor International crawler dozer. We practiced pulling trees near the barn before pulling a tree out beside a 1984 Celebrity Diesel. Then we moved on to 1914 farm house and removed numerous elm trees growing too close to the footings. We used a choker and steel wheel to create upward pulling force.

We hauled this 1934 Chevrolet 1.5 ton home and fired her up. Work consisted of cleaning the carb, sanding the points, oiling and freeing various mechanisms. After some fresh gas and a 6 volt battery, she ran quite well. First DRIVE link. ua-cam.com/video/BSoGu99CUv0/v-deo.html

Nice video I have a 2-71 also I see a tach drive off the front of your blower Can you send me a pic of that or do you have any info on it? Thanks Gerry in Michigan
Hi Gerry, For sure! I will take photos next chance I get and send them your way. Axle
He’s like a chipmunk ,,,,,,,,,, pain in the ass.
Cool truck, beautiful family. Thanks for posting!
Thanks!
Como arranca el motor si ahí se ve que no tiene motor de arranque?
😏🤔
I just bought one of these not too long ago and have to work on the steering brake and clutch on the left side. Do you know if the entire clutch assembly can be unbolted and pulled out through the top? or do I have to remove the track and sprocket from the outside and pull it out through the side?
Not very sure on that. Check out videos by Squatch253. ua-cam.com/video/X7clq3bCTkY/v-deo.htmlsi=HwSAEjYhMptPnUxt .. He walks though a lot of the steering and clutch repairs.
Are you selling it
Yes, Do you have a core?
Sounds like you got the starting transmission and low need to put it in high to turn the motor or fast enough
Give u lads some tip get ur gob on pony fuel tank blow into it ule see fuel piss into carb
Y'all don't know what starting fluid is
Enjone
“The funky chicken” 🤣🤣
.
It does all day
Why does it still run caterpillar
AWESOME, restore this beast to perfection.
The series is TD (if FI its the TDJ, don't know the exact model designation, it depended on wheelbase and driveline configuration).
I'm surprised to see this model in America. Never knew they sold one in the USA. These are quite common in S.E Asia and S. Asia.
how about walking around the truck and tell us what you use it for?
I don't care what anyone says no computer = no problems not easily fixed that old cat will still run 50 years from now just keep engine from getting water in it and your good
I found a D8 up in the gold fields; also, there is a army truck for sale here! 8000 almost complete
Good bonnet flying .classic so luv the health an safety .it's what fun .all about .the camera still Peking through exhaust hole 😂
Point the camera at the stack please 😊
do have starters for those pony engines
Some yes. This WWII example does not have a charging system or electric pony starter.
@@AxleHildebrand so the whole thing is just magneto
Yes, pony electrical consists of only a magneto. There are no lights or electric accessories on this model dozer.
Yes l bought one, cost me four hundred bucks, worth it.
the younger guy doesn't know what going on.
Didn’t we work on this one?
Hey Axle+ make sure to clean your camera. When is the wedding? Miss working on engines with you :)
its runs but almost kill him
Oh man Nathan sent me this video. So glad I sent him the link for the auction and you got it. I totally though of Nathan and when I told him about it he told me about you and your old truck. I would guess that engine might have way more power as marine diesels are usually turned up due to the constant load of the propeller. Glad to see it running.
Many thanks for passing the ISUZU lead to Chico. We can finally repower the 1965 Suzie without breaking the bank.
Great video, Axle!
Thats a huge engine
Looks and sounds great. How much HP and torgue dos it produce? How much did you pay? What are you gonna put it in?
It makes 195 HP at 2500 RPM and 500 lb-ft at 1200 RPM. I have a 1965 ISUZU truck with the same engine that needs an engine but I'm unsure if I want to convert this one for road use or repair it. See the truck here. ua-cam.com/video/P-kpStc2k2I/v-deo.html
I'm looking for the same engine for my isuzu truck
That was real!
Doesn't look like its been sat 25 days let alone years
Glad you got it home safely. That is great with the few things you needed to do to get to running again. The truck looks to have very solid sheet metal. I love the 34-36 high cab Chevys. Nice to see your wife enjoying the fun.
The most favourite machine I have ever run was a 1968 D-7E. Thank God the pony had an electric start but that machine was a beast. You could haul it down so low you could count the cylinders popping off but it would just keep pushing. It had a leaky final drive that we put a special brew of 80-90 gear oil with a tube of grease mixed in to slow down the leaking.
I totally agree. Adding grease to slow an oil leak is a heck of a lot better than running low on oil.
WOW ,GUYS !
Pretty good, Eh?
биба и боба два
да это наши после будуна не понимают что делать
это похоже русские трактористы бежавшие от мобилизации
I think you did everything right... Except for the lose hood
A shot of ether early on would have started it 15 minutes earlier, When the pony motor is running and not not turning the diesel engine no coolant is going through the pony engine and it will get very hot very fast the Diesel engines water pump supplies the coolant to the pony motor
😎 get back to the shop and paint it and clean it up 300000
A very primitive poor design for starting large ci diesel motors,The IH gas start diesels were way superior in cold weather. Can you imagine having to do this every freezing morning in the 50's in the High Sierras?
Did he get hurt
CCKW K53 signal corps radio truck
Yes! The body is sitting at the previous owner's farm. Hope to get a crane in there to load it and get the radio body mounted again soon. I will post for sure.
Wonder what the torque is?
