Nowadys the egyptians are denying that their civilization had any african roots and worried about Afrocentric prespective which connect the old egyptian civilization to africa let alone that their ancesstors are white. U made a good point when u referred to location of most of the pharonic tembles in the south boardering kush genuine african civilization in current Nubian sudan.

Thank you very much Zeinab for telling our own history from our own historians. I wish though that you would have given more depth in your answers in the Q & A sessions especially regarding colonial rule. There was a big difference between the French and British approaches. If one looked into the French-imposed Pact for the continuation of Colonialism which he coerced Francophone countries to sign, you would have seen the great injustices of the French to those countries. Another issue that was worth explaining is that Imperialism and Neo-colonialism are at the heart of the continued problem in the continent today. The Colonial legacies are entrenched and until they are uprooted it would be virtually impossible to progress.

1:04:19 is false, there were very many democracies in African communities, in fact the brand of democracy brought by Europeans ended up being less democratic than existing democracies in many communities thanks in large part to capitalism

So is his perspective is how do we continue to colonize Alkebulan and to ensure his foothold in Alkebulan. Origin versus alliance means two different things. For over two thousand years his Origin was ensuring the oppression of aboriginal Alkebulans. So why in ten years are we to believe all those beliefs have changed and how will that benefits those in those village that Unesco is now so concerned about

Reading this book now! I have read a few books about Africa's History before but this one is different and very informative since it centers in ancient African civilisations, not on the usual perspectives of European scholars. Based on reliable sources and interviews and written in a very appealing, easy to read style. Watching this interview was very enlightening and inspiring too. Congratulations to prof Zainab Badawi. Ps: Amazing to know that Mastanabal won a gold medal for Numidia at the 164 BCE Olympics... 2168 years ago!!!

Africans have been lied to , divided , ruled , exploited , humilated in many ways they are too confused by many un explained things of their history culture , religion traditions etc , and worst of all , been trained to think they cannot do constructive things on their own without western guidance and assistance and millions believe this , they think they would be extinct without European or western "love "for them oh ,its very painful.

The fact is that Haile Selassie left ethiopia and hid in Britain and ethiopia was fully colonized by italy for 5 years.

GOD of the Holy Bible made all those whom were slaves, slaves! He made everything that ever was and not one thing that was made was made without him. We are his personal property. He can do with us as he pleases. All of whom read this and disagree go ahead sit there where ever you are and yell out loud “NO GOD OF THE HOLY BIBLE DIDN’T MAKE ALL WHOM WERE SLAVES, SLAVES, THAT’S A LIE”! Do that then see what happens to you. Challenge GOD of the Holy Bible if you dare.

Thank you very much for this great work Zeinab! The fact of the matter today is that the economy of most African countries is not yet advanced or globally competitive and that allows external viewers to make any form of self-pleasing stereotype about the continent and its people. The low economic development is just but a manifestation of a lack of people-to-people contact which is gradually changing in the 21st century. It doesn't make sense to say that a people who have lived for millions/billions of years have no history.

To tell you guys the truth No Europeans can tell African history without the mind of dividing and separation the Europeans can not better tell the history of the Africa, How can you tell stories about a family when you wasn't there from birth Hellooooo 💔 we Africans are the only people that can tell our history and our stories period!

Thank you Mrs Zeinab Badawi for sharing with us your in depth knowledge of an African history but did hear you saying Ahmed Gurey while answering a question of a Ethiopian guest?that Ahmed Gurey was part of Ethiopian history? That is wrong!Ahmed Gurey meaning Ahmed left handed in Somali language was a freedom fighter,Imam of Awdal Sultanate in northern Somalia. We call him the man who taught Ethiopians to eat raw meat because he used to attack at night when they lit fare woods to cook till they stopped and that forced them to consume raw meat! His attack was basically to stop the Abyssinia spreading to our land and remove the colonial rule in the Somali territory.Taking the history and heroes of another country and writing in books or memos will devalue the meaningful of your work.
