Why couldn't you have a drop down menu to sort through the parameters and macro controls instead of clicking each parameter lock it's confusing. and tedious
DMX Krew should sue
sounds kinda gei or is it a manly pack?
Amazing stuff as always. Thank you for creatinng thoughtful tools that keep things fun
You've got something very special here ... I hope you someday consider making a followup to Opal in the VST/AUV3 world. I think it could be enormously successful. p.s. Imagine dragging an intricately crafted FM/synth sound to a sample slot -- it automatically populates the slot with a .WAV resample of your sound design, using the parameters of that particular sequencer step to determine the length and other relevant properties. The mangling and reshaping possibilities are endless from there. Just an idea.
how does one get the sequencer to show up? Is there something I need to press to get into that mode?
Thanks for the walkthrough. But is there a way to lower (or increase) the octave playing?
Beautifully done, both all the devices and the tutorial. Stunning sounds and possibilities, just as we've come to expect! 🤍
i love u all
Its like the Reaktor Ensemble Aerobic. Very funny device. But i think it works so fine in ableton then I bought it anyway😂
Is there any Move integration? :)
This device rules!
Thank you for the video. Do ever think about going also the iOS route?
Does opal have the same push 3 integration as this?
love your software made my christmas TY!!
Esta es una de esas cosas por las que amo la informática musical. Gracias por existir.
Really inspirational stuff right here
is there anyplan you guys will have any special discount Christmas this year? im planning to borrow all your plugin.. they look sick
Very glitchy and unstable to a point it is unusable with Push2 Ableton 12.1.1 OSX14.7.1 MBPM2 Otherwise a great device, shame it is to glitchy for me!
Sorry to hear that! We’ve had good experiences with the Push 2 but seems to be different depending on setup. Please send us an email at hi @ fors.fm with more details and we’ll help you out!
will be my task during my vacation - together with Opal certainly very fine and stimulating
Awesome machine! I would love a overall swing slider though. So that patterns that aren't fixed to f.e a 16 step sequence also keep on swinging on the right moments. I haven't found an easy way to do this with the nudge function.
buying a push because of this device. ableton should bring you guys on as devs lol.
bought and WOW! instant gratification. this thing is a beast.
will you be supporting clap for the this and opal some of us dont use ableton great work
On Push 3 SA the device kind of looked up: I can't put in any notes, can't open sub pages for the device. How does it work in the P3 enviroment? Are Midi clips interfering or what buttons to press that the device takes inputs again? (Or is this more a weird P3 behavior and needs a restart? Reloading Dyad doesn't help)
On Push 3SA it should work in the exact same way as in this video - but it sounds like something is going wrong here! Please send us an email to hi @ fors.fm with more details and we'll help you out.
Sounds great
man I finally bought this after hearing about Opal from Cenk as well as loaded up a couple of the free plugins and these devices are killer. Always been a huge Elektron fan so I'm glad to be using these now with my Push Standalone.
I've been enjoying Tela so much I wonder if you are planning to bring other Fors M4L plugins to Logic like this one ? 🥺
A masterpiece. Thanks
So so good
Absolutely impressive as always, I'm loving playing with this, instant results, and very easy and fun to use, well done!
Yeah, but can you modulate the colour themes. 😂 jokes - looks and sounds amazing!
Hello. This looks fun. I'm wondering, if there a way to get the midi and modulation data out of the groovebox to control other stuff with it? More precisely, another software over OSC? I believe Opal has a "midi" version meant for this?
is there any reason why dyad is super laggy on me? when i have a couple channels of it going along with para and other dyad devices? my cpu meter looks fine and i have an M1 macbook, makes it hard to edit my sequences :(
also just wanna say how amazing these devices are😫🙏
Oh no! Please send us an email about this with more details and we’ll help you out. hi@fors.fm
This was (as always) an insta-buy for me. So far, what I like the most is the turing-machine-like random dice rolls to Hz when paired with a scale, then manually moving the Hz knob to move up and down the scales. I'm using Dyad basically as a beautiful and strange two-toned arpeggio machine with very sweet randomness. Then into Retur, then into Box, with Modul modulating parameters in Retur and Box to create swells. Very complex rhythms and sounds, but really easy to use, just fantastic work by Fors, as usual. If only there was a way to pan each voice, that would be absolute heaven!
So much care goes into these devices… Thanks for the tour!
These are awesome devices, well done (as always)! Unless I missed it, my only wish/suggestion would be to add the randomizing parameter to the modulo device (as found in Dyad). Until then, keep up the great work and thanks for making such awesome drum synth / groovebox and sequencers. Hope to see your devices available as AUv3 app on iOS for the iPad, that would make these devices much more tactile and fun to play with while filling a void in the iOS music making environment (as they are not really any good drum synth available on iOS).
Long live to Fors ! :)
Oh … adding a probability (%) value for each voice (and/or every steps) would also be great to make the patterns less repetitive and thus less predictable. Just a thought.
Another belter. Instant purchase. 🙌
#tfw I'm looking for updates to Opal and realize this was released only 4 days ago 🤩
This is great, curious if scale awareness is planned for a future update?
What I find most impressive about all the Fors devices is how clean and simple the controls are, but how versatile the sound design can be. Been having so much fun with the Kit and Chiral devices. Can't wait to discover Dyad. Thanks for making such amazing plugins
Amazing plugin, love the Fors devices
Amazing devices 😍
awesome stuff, thank you!
This is like a DFAM/Edge but better. Sounds so good!
I'd love to hear the songs in these demos. Fors makes some amazing music when showcasing their tools. Great stuff!
I'll take a double order of that distortion unit thank you
This looks super awesome! Looking forward to checking it out very soon 💜
From 0:53 Retur really gave me early-Radiohead vibes. More specifically the outro of their song Karma police from their '97 album OK Computer where they probably used such a delay pedal. It's weird how sounds can evoke memories deeply lodged somewhere in one's brain. I know it was unintentional but thanks anyway! 🙂 Dyad sound kinda reminds me of the Moog DFAM. Why isn't it scale aware (yet) ?
the pattern switching stuff while all staying in projects time is so nifty, incredible device been using it loads already, might be my favourite of yours!
