I forgot this easy method. Spent half the morning back and forth from spicot to pool, nothing was working. Finally rented a sump pump but still have water and debris. I was researching shop vacs and your video came up. I am going outside before it gets dark and I know this time my syphon will work.

You don't have to turn the water on first.. we left the hose in after filling ours up and when hubby disconnect the hose from the faucet it started draining out..

You lady, make my day, really appreciate it, Hi, I fixed the problem, I went to a local hardware store and bought a rod 5/32 ( $2.75 with tax )and just cut it taking the measurements from the original part and is working for the sfx1500 with4 screws in the lid ( not the 1500+ )

I just used your idea of using the garden hose as a vaccuum . I have been battling mustard algae for weeks . I also live where there are a lot of trees and pollen and crazy unknown weather forecast so this pool has been consuming me . Thank you so much for a great informative video . Anymore tricks for the summer waves pool please post . I have the same pool and pump as you do .

To make it better to control on the pool floor, connect the hose pipe to a piece of 3/4 pvc pipe.

This does not work for me. I have about 3” left of algae filled water. I unhook the hose from the house while in and no water is siphoning. Hose is 100’

This year I got a 10 ft. metal pool andI have all of the chemicals and accessories, so have the same square vacuum attachment for my pool. Can you please tell me what size hole I need to connect to the square adapter and the vacuum hose and vacuum head that will go to my pool and where to buy it please????

Cut it to length be very aware of the two white round Teflon washers one on the bottom and one on the top of the impeller can easily be dropped and lost

Use a high-quality Barbecue skewer it’s the same diameter it’s a high density would it will not swell in the water
