Very exited to add this Neptune Apex Trident to my Red Sea Reefer SPS Reef tank. This should help me stay on top of my Calcium Alkalinity and Magnesium levels and give me a better look as to the demand on my tank.

Do you ever take the shrimp out or just leave it in there ✌️🇨🇦
Just getting blasted about by the bubble current.... don't do that. They would also probably like some stones or something to crawl on.... lol
Wow i really love seahorses, I knew that they were difficult to keep, but didn't realise all the work and checks water changes, and the set up costs 😮, im sad that there are no fresh water seahorses, so happy to find your channel, i can now watch your content about them, loved watching them,
Lol u don't need to do water tests.. just grab a bunch of macro algae sponge filter cuc, monitor your salinity and the tank will look after itself
If you have a fish and hermit crab only aquarium are the asterina stars going to be a problem?
What auto feeder do you use?
How fast do they grow? i am thinking of getting a baby one and moving in about a year! He is only 1.25 to 1.75 inches now! and would be in a 36 gallon.
I never thought to realize a blue tang as a pet fish in aquarium 😅
Very nice 👍
Waves and things 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
How are your seahorses doing? You never did follow up video on them. Thank you!
Hey Ian, beautiful system! I’ve been following the debate for as long as I’ve had my tank. My current Nano has been running about 7/8 years. When I first started reef keeping I shared a similar experience of being excited to see the mini Asterina starfish in my Nano. After researching them some more, I found nothing but conflicting information. I eventually rented a harlequin shrimp and manually removed them with some long cooking tweezers. Until I had completely eradicated the entire population. However after a while I began to miss the little guys. I ended up asking my friend for some of his and re-established a population within my tank. I first removed them on a count of being cautious. However, After re-establishing them in my system I have never noticed a problem with them picking at or eating any of my corals. I now let them do their thing and enjoy seeing them on the glass/ back of my tank. Surprisingly enough when I recently visited my LFS they had some for sale for 25$ a piece! I couldn’t believe my eyes.(Hence me doing some more research to see if the debate is still raging on) I appreciate your input and information. If you truly want to see them all gone I think adding another harlequin would really speed up the process. Good luck!
Aww thanks I know so many different opinions on them 😂 I remember being so excited when I first found one !! I think I’ve kinda grown to like them but just keeping the numbers down rather than having them everywhere seems to be a good middle ground 😂
Awesome tank think he would be ok with moorish idol and orange shoulder tang cheers ive got 6 foot tank
Thank you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great video mate. Any update? Very interested to know how things went!
Fantastic video mate, thanks very much 👍
I have never seen so much misinformation in all my life, you are talking rubbish
This is so informative!!! Fantastic reporting!🌻🌼🐝 that tank looks like an office printer 🖨️ 😂
😃
Great tank. Did you keep the glass sliding lids?
Your English is excellent, I so enjoy to hear your non American pronounce, but I absolutely can't hear the drums 🥁 in background. Sorry, I go away.
This is just epic ❤
Tanks looking amazing mate. Cheers for this series i loved watching it. What online shops would you recooment as for corals etc there is not many around me.
I am sure the guy that sold me my tank, sold me an ro unit to go with it. Should i exchange this for an rodi unit ?
Loving the idea of some macro algae for my tank, thanks for adding the link. I am binge watching your start up vidoes and cant wait to see how these turn out
I have seen the prawn trick work for tropical tanks too. I would worry that its not very controlable. I am still waiting on my reef tank arriving would you still recommend the prawn trick or something else?
Do you really need sand in the water
COVID was horrible and lasted a lot longer than anyone would have thought. I really hope your business is thriving again now. Your tank is looking amazing so far. I am new to reef tanks and just got this light (still waiting on my tank arriving though 😂). How are you getting on with this light now? I have come across a problem already it says I am running an older version of android. If this light is not going to support the latest version of android and it takes them ages to update it is going to be no good to me. Is there a way round this ? Cheers in advance for your help.
They seem to have fixed this problem 😂
Hi could you give me a list of all the stuff use in your tank,The tank and the salt? Because I want to make a seahorse tank too😅
Hi if one was to get an asterina starfish as a pet how would you take care of them?
I love them!
How big is your tank?
Glad to see you back making content again ❤
I have a name for my blue tang for my aquarium. The name is Dory
The reef is looking good, love the hat you have on.
Would a red mangrove be good for a seahorse tank?
As long as you can look after the top and potentially pot it so it’s root doesn’t brake the tank I don’t see why not 🧐
Lol! Maybe turn the air flow down a bit. Those pods look like they are in the washing machine. Good tutorial aside from that.
They would also probably like some stones or something to crawl on.... lol
Hi Ian. They drive me mad, I have found the best way to deal with them is to pick them off with my fingers every morning or use a turkey baster and suck them out. Good luck I have been doing this now for eight years they still return.
They seem to be under control for the moment 🤣
Looks amazing with the XR30 Radions. Love the variety of Montipora and other encrusting SPS you have. Is that a cyphastrea on the back wall, center-ish?
Yes, it is!
Looks good 👌🏻👏🏻
Thank you 😋
Awesome update fella! How is the reef habitat 60 doing?
When I moved I moved all the tanks into this big tank as i didn’t have the space to set it back up ! It was so sad as it was starting to really look grate!! I’m really interested in there new nanos 🎉
tank loos GREAT! what is the walker made of?
It’s a resin that I cured over about a year
Things are looking great. Welcome back 🙏

@@ianscoralreef8265 yay
Wow amazing wish my tank looked like that mate I started dosing nopox because my nitrate was 10 and in a week they have gone to over 50 I'm close to closing it down
Oh I feel your pain !!!!! Stick with it there is always a solution Big water changes and daily changing of filter socks 👍🏻 It will get there add some more bacteria and possibly more biological media ?
@@ianscoralreef8265 I can only change 25 litres at a time so I'm on my second day of that I'm just trying to decide if it's the nopox/redsea ab+ or the new pellet food that's caused it to sky rocket just really annoying after I spent £300 on corals to watch them die after it was high at 10 but stable there
@@wilfwill oh man !!!!! I’d say pellet food tends to bring up no3 but if stuff is dying back that will keep raising the no3 I’d add more nitrate consuming bacteria 🦠
Why does no one ever mention temperature? Do they need heat?
The temperature doesn’t seem to make a massive difference I’ve had some success in a bucket in the garden too
1 year update please?
What's the brother question I searched around my local pet stores and they don't have seahorses or salt water fish so I'm asking you this question Can you give me a location where I can buy some
Hi TMC supply them to local marine pet shops!!! I know paraquatics hove has two beautiful erects in stock !!!
