Sunday Fun Day
We took the 500s out on an adventure ride in Southern California. We went over Palomar Mountain and down into Borrego Springs for lunch before coming back through Ramona. It had just rained the day before so we were lucky with sticky dirt and no dust!

Hi, can you please let me know if your model is 1Y45R 01Y45R Dell 7001515-J100 Z1100P-00 Power Supply 1100W PSU ? Thank you sir
Why eliminate
If you want to double these in series to make 24v, the cases will short out if they touch each other.
doesn't work on mine ps
Could you help us how to power on the DPS 400 power supply
HI can you tell if these PSU works with interactive UPS (simulated sinoidal wave AC)
this connections works also with the dell Model:D750P-S0 but i put a 470 ohm resistor in serie with the on/of switch.
Hello can you guide me on my power supply... I have the same power supply with you
@@seanrickbiatos7937 follow and look at the video , en put a 470 ohm resistor in serie with A on/of switch you must made with the 2 longer wires
@@janvanderlinde3039 i can't understand the video.. is the pin 4 of top and bottom are connected?
@@seanrickbiatos7937 yes ( and i think i dit this with de resistor, and between pin 3 on bottom to pin 4 on top a on/off switch )
@@janvanderlinde3039 okay i try
Connecting pin 4 top to bottom is working perfectly. No switch need on my power supply.
almost went off the trail! But looks fun
Help. The light on my psu does not turn yellow even after waiting for more than 5 mins. There is nothing else on the web about this psu specifically. Can you tell me a solution?
Utah is a beautiful state. Sign on the way in reads, "Life Elevated". I don't think it is a reference to the elevation. Utah will kill you or make a man out of you. I'm very certain the devil lives in Utah. Thanks for sharing.
looks like a great time, what is this event called?
looks like fun! & rough lmao
At 6 min in, I remember riding that on my bush pig (DR650) and wishing I had my KTM. Good stuff out there.
Wow, Now THAT’s Single Track…with Consequences!
Loved some of the single track you guys features in the vid. Nice music too. Off road motorcycles are a net gain for the human species 😏
Hello. Can you help me with a specific power supply? contact mail please.
00:56 .....biden has been a good president ......unlike the orange pathological liar that pretended to be president before our union is better with stability than buffoonish chaos
Thank you just found one on amazon for 29 for my thermoelectric thing lol its cooling my co2 laser
I can't get the voltage to change, however. Also, there is a resistance between the two ground tabs. ??? Low just a few ohms.
I was never able to change the voltage on these. The ground tabs shouldn’t have any resistance between them.
@@matthone5346 Yes you are correct. There should be no resistance between the ground tabs. Also, there are at least two different pin-outs for this power supply. On mine, both the large tabs are ground. There is an additional tab that is 1/4" or so wide that is positive. It doesn't seem big enough to handle 90 amps. And as I said before the green light on mine comes on and the unit is powered up when I plug it in. No need to jump any pads. I ordered a couple of 750-watt units where the pin-outs look like the 1100-watt unit you described. I hope I can get them turned on. Thanks for answering.
I spent hours trying to get one of these to turn on. Measuring voltage as shown. Nothing. Finally saw a narrow tab (abt 1/4 in) and changed and measured from that to either of the wide tabs. Viola, it's powered up without doing any jumping of pins. Just plug it in. Green indicator light comes on everytim
I was planning to sign up for this ride thinking it was a more intermediate friendly gathering. Glad I saw this video. Definitely above my pay grade, so I'll skip
I’m in the same vote. I have 20 plus years of street riding, but less than 1 yr. in riding a big adventure bike. I know my abilities and I know I won’t complete the ride without sustaining any injuries. 😅
There are 4 different levels of routes for 100 ish miles south and then next day back north. Any ADV or dual sport bike and any level of rider will find their skill level and tribe of like minding riders.
Okay Thank you for your clarification.
I have no idea why these old codgers always choose a bike like this......can't pick it up, risk serious injuries from crush effect....why not an xr400 Honda or a 2008 250 Husqvarna ?.....I'm 65, ride both and carry the same if I wish......these big ol bikes are pure liability and less fun for sure
Hard to put a weeks worth of clothes, food and camping gear on a small bike. Not to mention you wouldn’t be able to do the one trip without having to do a couple oil changes.
Get rid of that Suzuki .Ktm and husky rule for dual sports👍👍👍👍👍
Its already been replaced with a 22 FE501!
Ya bro now we’re talking.just sold my 2012 500 exc f and lookin at the 300 xc . Just lookin 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳he he he
Getting ready to do this event this weekend for the first time. Thanks for the awesome vid!
Have fun!
Thanks. Can experiences riders do two sections a day or that’s really pushing it? 🙏🏼
I have been dirt biking for 15 years and ride 20k miles a year on the street. I am definitely not a pro rider, but very experienced. With fully loaded adventure bikes, it took all day to do those sections. We were thinking 140 miles would only take use three to four hours.... but we were wrong. They were long days in the saddle. If you are on unloaded 500CC bikes, you could fly through it.
Great vid! Some high consequence stuff. Nice riding.
Thanks!
All the practice in the world can't prepare one for some of these technical nightmare scenarios. The adventure is out there in the wild. Enjoy it while you can.
The disasters make the best stories!
That sure looked fun!!
You might consider adding some links to at least the next video in the series (using the end screen option in the Video Details page in UA-cam Studio). It's a little annoying to have to go to your home page and look for the next video. I'm doing it because I want to see what comes next, but you may be losing some of the visitors.
I appreciate that. I will look into how to do that.
Was any of this considered an expert section vs the normal route? Just curious since I'm not familiar with the UTBDR. The Mighty GSs handled it just fine it looks like.
This was all the normal route. The GS had no issues. Some soft sand and loose gravel sections made for some slow going... but no problem.
Amazing!! Nice job on the series. Looks like Ya' all had an awesome time. Planning on the Utah BDR in September 2023, riding there from FL. Thanks for sharing.
That will be quite the trek from Florida! Have fun!
Fantastic. Great choices with the music too. This brings back some great memories when I rode the UTBDR on my Hypermotard. Some places I recognized well, others not so much. I took a nap in a field in the Abajos and left my camera when I woke up groggy. I rode two hours to my next camp. Only then did I realize that I had left it behind. I rode all the way back in the dark to get it. Also, the western side of Comb Ridge is much more scenic but much more difficult (Posey Trail). I've done some others, but haven't done NV or WY yet. I'm guessing that WY will be the best.
I am looking forward to WY as well! Im glad you were able to recover your camera.
nice vid. some great riding terrain and proper bike drops. all part of the adventure
You got that right!
That ride looked great. Super cool way to spend a Sunday!
It was!
Looks like this is just NE of San Diego...those dinos in the desert were random! Nice vid, looks like a fun ride.
This was! There are lots of those dinosaurs just outside of Borrego Springs. Fun place to explore with the family.
Those were some scary fire roads! Glad you all made it okay 😂
Thanks Mike! This was the maiden run for Mike's new 500.
Where is this?
It was up the backside of Palomar Mountain and through Ranchita.
Thank you Matt for this nice video on the dell I have a dell switching in 750 watts and I would also like to put in series to have 24 volts I followed your recommendation and removed the 3 screws used for grounding, Can we optionally no longer use the metal box? and put a wooden box? is it possible? risk of overheating because the wood does not evacuate the heat? Thanks Lawrence of France PS: Why does the 24 volts not work with ground?
You have to remove the ground to the case if the cases of the two power supplies are touching each other when operating in series. You could run these in a wooden box, but they do get pretty warm when operating at half load and up. I would make sure they have plenty of ventilation. I think a plastic project box would be a better option than wood.
4 second rule, dont ride so close to the person in front of you.
Video doesn’t look as good from that far back.
Couldn't see much, especially which screws to remove
That looks like mammoth
