I hope David reads this someday: David, did you really created Unity thinking about profit? Not because you were passionate about coding, game development or engineering? Did you create it to scale it up as fast as you could at expense of your investor's money, just so you could as quickly as possible make the company public and have your payday? That is what end up happening, one would think you acted solely on your monetary interests. To contrast look at Tim Sweeney, not only a passionate engineer but a legend in his field, a true revolutionary that pushed the technology forward and still keeps the company private, you ask why? Because he don't want to give away what he built with nothing but pure love and joy. A true inspiring man. Maybe something happened along the way and you got your priorities wrong.
