Marianne Faithfull sings "Wild Horses" live | 1990 (The Rolling Stones cover)
Переглядів 19 тис.9 років тому
"Wild Horses" was allegedly written about Marianne herself by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. As legend has it "Wild horses couldn't drag me away" were the first words out of Marianne's mouth to Mick after she awoke from a week-long coma in Sydney, Australia in 1969. The song originally appeared on the Stones' album "Sticky Fingers" in 1971, but was written in 1969. This rare live version is pe...

This is a re-upload of a video that unfortunately disappeared from UA-cam. It's very interesting and a great glimpse into Marianne's mind at the time (1981). Thumbs up if you enjoyed it!
Sensational
Incredible Lady, amazing talent, superb artist/ singer / musician ! Classy woman. Excellent!!! ❤👏👏
Rolling Stones owe her alot
Den Jagger kann ich nicht mehr leiden. Ich weis gar nicht wie ich früher so verblendet sein konnte.
Where did her youth go? What? It was 1981. She was still a kid! She always sounded ahead of her years. Lots of depth in that voice.
Commentaires en français merci
Rather like Nick Drake
Nico et Ari 🫶✨️🙏
That kind of beauty I quess can also be a curse..she had a hard life!
She was hot, men loved interviewing her.
She was the girl of Jagger and Richards ..!!
Saw her live in Chicago some years ago and it was magnificent. Wish she'd done this but it was still great!
Merci!
Wow! Never saw this before. Excellent. Thanks for sharing ❤

Beautiful right through! So Sad she took up Smoking as l feel listening to her soft sweet voice here in this interview cant help but feel ciggies destroyed her voice ❤️❤️🙏❤️
She just needed to find her way in a rough world while she seemed to have had a protective youth . Happily she ended up finding her own way
GREAT,GREAT performance and staging - so sad the original footage seem to got wiped or lost - but we have something.... THANKS!!!
J ai découvert marianne avec la ballade sa voix ❤
Born to live Born to die what else? Living Forever in loving memories
I had a major crush on her in 1966, when I was 13 years old. I think everyone did. She was the darling of The British Invasion. Many hard years later she came to full fruition, like a vintage of wine that thrives in rocky soil and chill weather! Her sweetness matured into depth and profundity. Thank goodness she didn't lose the music. It is what has kept many of us old reprobates alive!
She was in her prime.....beautiful!
Dolcissima Marianne i.l.y.
❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Slept on the streets for two years.
Marianne fue más hermosa que Marilyn Monroe. Pero ustedes no están preparados para esa discusión.
Plump , pretty English Girl . A breath of fresh air when Twiggy came around . The heroin , that came later , wiped the Narcissistic innocence Right out of the equation . Even angels Have their demons . Good on ya Marianne .
MARIANNE WALKS IN BEAUTY ♥️♥️ SHE'S SO BEAUTIFUL ♥️♥️🇨🇦
You said you were looking for a man
Dakota Johnson could play a younger version of her in a movie!
I was there. Still have a cassette I recorded with a Walkman. The program stated "By order of the NYC Fire Dept., only Ms. Faithfull may smoke in the building."
I also was there. Terrific performance
That’s awesome. Would you ever release your recording to UA-cam?
@@jorgepacheco9845 There's an official cd release that sounds a LOT better than my old tape. The tracks are on youtube.
💞💞💞💞💞💞💞🎤🌟🌟
Jagger couldn´t keep his hands away from her.......
She has always had an incredible amount of magnetism.

I still have my treasured 1990 Island records VHS copy of this amazing concert. I live in hope of it being released on DVD which would improve the sound. Marianne is like a fine vintage wine. As she gets older she gets even more interesting as an artist.
SHE'S EASILY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL IN THE WORLD
🙏❣️
Mine.

I could not love this more. And I am reading Vashti's autobiography right now.
Could you share a little bit?
Faithless wasn't a success anywhere except in Ireland where she had two top twenty hits "All I Wanna Do In Life" at #11 and "Dreaming My Dreams: at #1. The latter staying at number one for 8 weeks!
Her album BROKEN ENGLISH sold 250,000 in Germany and 100,000 in France & Canada as well.
