So I got some of this potassium chlorate awhile ago. Haven’t used it much because I hear so many bad things about it. Like shock sensitivity when mixed with sulfur. Compositions containing it and sulfur could absorb moisture from the air and create sulfuric acid starting a chain reaction such as self ignition. But it is claimed the reaction is stronger. Testing some bismuth trioxide Crackle that I made today. Wrapped in pine resin soaked Coffee filter to sustain the burn. As you can see the crackle was Strong enough were it blew out the flame.

Can use Bi2O3, PbO2 ,or CuO for craclibf stars. Mix with KClO3 and bind with NC. ❤

Use Phenolic Resin, instead of Red Gum. Red Gum burns with red tint, makes not as good a green!

I wouldn't use that stick in the mix. crackle mix is very static sensitive!!!!!!! BOOM!!!!!!!!!

You have a very very small concept of safety. That should have been mixed by diaper method. Don’t blow yourself up.

What is that machine u used to ball up the powder called??
Just a old drill motor from a battery powered one. Then I hook up a variable dc power supply to control speed. Leave the gearing and chuck on too.

I havnt heard of cork charcoal but I do coat cork 7-1 just like rice hulls and I do prefer the cork for some reason I think it has something to do with the gas dispersion and space air ratio it works great in canister shells
My guess is there is more surface area on cork charcoal. More porous than air float. The same weight of standard charcoal takes up only 1/2 the volume.
@@micropyro7470 it's possible I do like rice hulls or granulated bp in really small canisters. For the last 2 years I have been trying to replicate the break charge used in consumer canister shells its not quite flash but not kp or bp but based on what I observ inside the consumer 1.75 inch cans is probably regular flash powder mixed with black powder im going to try half and half or use a bright aluminum instead of dark but they definitely don't always use dark aluminum its looks lighter like 809 or bright flake.
