As someone who had a 4 year long hyperfixation in this franchise this video summarizes well my thoughts over many many aspects about what went wrong with BATIM, it feels so weird to know something I had put so much passion and made me met so many wonderful friends ( being one of them the artist you've used to explain how you'd redesign Beast Bendy, peak choice! ) now that the autism equivalent of rose-colored glasses is gone it's just something I'd call "mid". If only they had a book series where they could fix some plot holes instead of bringing to the table a unholy amount of extra information that only makes this mess more confusing... 😅

Truly the easiest way to get veiws, just talk about fnaf. No disrespect. just an observation

I’ve always found the first one near impossible to play. I never really look through the cameras cos I can’t handle another level of stress and stuff to do on top of the fact animatronics wants to come kill me! So I ignore them other than Pirate Cove. Through VR this game is impossible for me and I can’t get past day two. I just end up locking the doors and waiting for my impending doom, awaiting the jump scares with my eyes closed 😳 😱 😆

I feel like some big things that desensitized us of big scary animatronic robots is the sea of mostly comedic but overall weird fan animations and characterizations made for the characters It's not really a big problem for me, but I imagine there's people annoyed by that

Honestly I miss this old FNAF. I miss the horror that characterized this franchise in 2014 and 2015. Now is losing its horror charm and identity, the movie just confirmed it.

Yeah essentially how Fnaf actually worked was dread. You know whats coming for you but importantly you are stuck in one place. You are vulnerable and you know the threats are coming but they go against each other so you can never be sure you can stop them all or when. And the atmosphere with sound in the first game is super in depth to the point you can track responses with just your ears.

And beeing alone in that office with that silence watching cameras makes it more creepy

FNAF has a autumn atmosphere

I feel that the 1st and the 2nd games still had something to prove. You need to remember the creator (Scott) did this because his game before this failed massively. I think he gave it his all. Additionally the whole game benefited from simplicity. The more simple it was, the more effective and almost serious like it became. It just kinda got.. franchised and too many expectations came in as a result. But, I guess that helps the best games shine even more.

Really miss the old games

I think the game that comes the closest to fnaf1 in terms of horror is fnaf6, both night modes in that game has insane suspense and atmosphere.

Fnaf 1 seperate from its community and all of the memes is a legitimately good game. Its not a product of its time nor is it dated. If it was released today it would probably blow up in just the same way.

This is exactly what the fnaf movie missed. These clearly not alive robots, stiff and yet seem full of life. You can't pin point it. The lifeless yet alive faces. The clunky movements, the rasphy breathing. They move in the shadows. It is a genius combination. The uncanny valley is captured perfectly. Such simple things like giving the robots moving eyebrows and expressive faces in the movie ruins that principle. They move, yet when you look at them they're like a statue that has never moved an inch.
