My 13' retractable awning is not taught enough. My installers have spent a whole day on this and it's still baggy. Center roller is installed. Help.

My 10x13 came with a center support that is C-shaped and has multiple idler rollers that addresses this sag issue.

I have a problem with my 16 Foor awning with the center roller support installed. When the awning is retracted the aluminum tube climbs out of the support then the awning will not open properly

Basically my awesome Stryke fighter has an issue with the vinyl tubing, that goes through the rocker arm. The tubing has disintegrated and I’m wondering how to replace it and what to replace it with. Good diagnosis. I'm still shopping around and had seen many people having issues with Aleko. Of course some of those could be user error, but in your case I think you've pinpointed a clear design flaw

You are missing the center roller cradle that supports the awning. Did one come with your awning. I just installed unit exactly like your and I have no issues. I have a center support.

This is a recipe for a ticked off homeowner. Worst installation instructions I have ever seen for any product.

For the money you cant beat it.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention I was going to give this company a try but NOT now! I see this is all about poor chinese engineering AND its about shipping cost. Alot cheaper to cut the tubes in half for shipping purposes. If I were you demand a refund Thanks again and good luck

I have recently assembled and installed 12’x10’ and 13’x10’ Aleko motorized retractable awnings, both of which came standard with center support brackets with 5 nylon rollers, and I had no problems with either of them sagging in the middle.

The one I received had a support roller to alleviate this problem. With yours I would suggest putting the rod pieces together as with the instructions but use construction adhesive inside the tubes to prevent them from sagging.

I just installed a 20x10, there is a u shaped bracket with plastic rollers to mount in the center to solve this , I'm sure you can order them individually from Aleko.

To all who have this issue, there is a part that you can purchase directly from aleko for this issue. It is a part that comes standard on the 16x10 awning from aleko that we just installed today. Its called a "center support". It bolts directly to the box tubing frame beam. And is basically a 1/2circle with 4 or 5 small nylon rollers on it. This actually lifts and supporys the roller tube and fabric on the tube giving gpu the support and clearance ypu need to clear the bolts. There is a serious design flaw in the 13x10 awning which I purchased in may 2018. There are two rollers each about 6 feet long. which are held together with a roller connector (about a foot long) and 8 screws. This connection is weak and causes the rollers to sag. As the rollers sag, the awning rubs against the brackets causing them to tear. I bought mine in May and by August, it was already tearing. That's less than three months. After several emails and requests by Aleko for pictures, they have agreed to send me a "support" for this roller connector which hopefully will cure the sagging problem. They are also sending a new awning. This awning should not be allowed to be sold on the US market with this serious design flaw. Manufacturer needs to correct this before this product should be allowed on the market.

Very hard to work with the Aleko people to get issue resolved. My awning tore in about three months and I have been in touch with Aleko via email trying to resolve with no success. Not a good situation.

This is definitely a problem and Aleko is not much help. I purchased my 13x10 awning in May and due to the rubbing, the awning already has torn. That's four months.

Look at Larry Clem's video. Apparently there is another roller you are supposed to have there.

Simple fix! What you need is a CRADLE in the center of the tubing - right on the seam where the fabric overlaps. The cradle serves as center support on awnings (typically 20 feet and over) where the roller tube starts to bow because of weight, and tension caused by the arms. Also, reset your inner limit so you have an inch between the outside of the roller tube and the inside part of the front bar (when looking straight up). This will keep your fabric rolled in further and keep it away from the weather, pollen and etc.

I have the same problem so i call aleko but not answer about it so i make a c channel roller and i resolve the problem if you want i can show you how to fix or i can make one for you and let me know

Not sure if you still have a Quark or remember how to work on it, I cannot seem to get the tail gear to mesh solidly with the tail motor. on the inner shaft, there is a small black thin o-ring metal piece Should that be positioned directly behind the bearing or in the front near the motor. I just cannot get it to mesh correctly no matter what I try. I push the inner piece in, it eganges to the motor, but when I pull it out slightly to get the bearing into the tail assembly, it never meshes with the tail gear. Im stumped....any help would be great.

Nice informative video. Everyone who buys a Radian should do this. One minor point - You could have put the DuBro on the elevator horn with the screw facing out to make it easier to tighten. Suggest you modify the video to include moving the elevator horn closer to the center.

I not really like these connectors. They are hard to snap on and impossible to get off if you need to move it. Also the flat screw head is not great. Actually HK makes a version that has a nice hex set screw which makes for a more positive tight. And the back is a thumb nut so you can remove. Just add lock fluid to each. That said, the gold-n-rods are probably the best overall upgrade.

@seanmcgrth Thanks for the tips! Yes, I've seen the Gold-n-Rods at my LHS and nice to know they'll work in the Radian. Probably wait until winter for that project though. For now, I want to maximize my flying time since the cold temps and short days are fast approaching.

Welcome to the wonderfull world of the Radian... Just a note... Some of use swapp out the stock PushRods for O'Sullivan Gold n Rods... All so you could change the angle of the elevator control horn ,by moving it ,take's the strain of the stock PushRod.... ..
