Channel Update - Homestead Intro
Переглядів 292 роки тому
Hey everyone thanks for following along so far! My channel is going to take a little bit of a turn here. We just purchased an old farmhouse on 1 acre and are hoping to do some homesteading. At the least we want to start growing a lot of our own food. I also just want to push the boundaries on what can be done on less than an acre. Can we raise enough animals and have a big enough garden to feed...

Our House Adventure | We moved into our fixer upper!
Переглядів 1023 роки тому
About 3 years ago we bought a house as a fixer upper. This was supposed to be a quick flip, but as life happens, we have had it for 3 years and it has been much more of a project than we initially thought it would be. This project occupies a lot of the time that I would normally be outdoors and in nature, I wanted to show you the adventures that I work on in the evenings and weekends when I'm n...

North Mountain Trail | 1 Day 23 mile Appalachian Trail Section Hike

#hiking #outdoors #adventure My Sister Hannah and I spent just over 10 hours hiking the North Mountain Trail in Catawba Virginia. This is an original section of the Appalachian Trail that connects the Triple Crown (Tinker Cliff, Mcafee Knob, and Dragons Tooth). The final elevation gain was 6200 ft total over 23 miles. We started at about 7 in the morning and finished around 5:30 that night. Ver...
I Spent A Day Farming (Pumpkins, Apples, and Corn)

#outdoor #adventure #oneilladventures I spent a day farming! I started off touring a 40 acre pumpkin farm and small family orchard that had just started. I then hooked up with a buddy 'o mine to drive a truck chopping corn. It had been about 2-3 years since I had been in a truck riding next to a chopper and it felt great to be out doing it! Trail Beef Jerky Recipe | Trail Talk Tuesday #3

#hiking #outdoors #adventure Beef jerky is one of the best snacks you can have out on the trail. It's delicious, nutritious, and it's packed with protein and fats. It is perfect as it can last for a few months in the fridge/freezer and will keep well over a couple days in your pack. Let me know in the comments how you make your beef jerky or if you add any other spices. Recipe: 1lb of bottom or...
100 Mile Overnight Bike Ride | New River Trail State Park

#hiking #outdoors #adventure In this video, my sister Hannah and I ride through the New River Trail State Park. We rode this out and back, therefore making up about 100 miles of trail traveled. We stopped ...

    • @oneilladventures6840
      @oneilladventures6840 3 роки тому

      I can only speak to that one restaurant that we stopped at in galax. There aren’t many restaurants right at the trailhead in Pulaski and you may have to bike a little farther into town from the trailhead if you are starting in galax and going towards Pulaski. It gets a little remote in some spots in the middle.

      @@oneilladventures6840 google "moleskin for blisters" This first article gives the general idea. www.healthline.com/health/moleskin-for-blisters#what-not-to-do. It was the go to blister fix and preventative back in the 70's and80's, maybe superceded by now with something better, but the hole-over-your-existing-blister with surrounding support seemed like a good idea to me back in the dark ages.
