In this case i tried to skip trainers once i realized Armaldo got to the very fast growth rate, what often happens Is that i gotta get high to beat T&L and so i am also high for the league, still i think i can ignore some guys in victory Road in future runs

I also thought that Wallace would be harder but sub Is op and also by the point i got to him my atk stat was very High so i could deal with his pokemons quite quickly

@Kronaast Substitute helps a lot with toxic and intimidate, and it's almost broken that almost any Pokémon can have it for the end game.

Yea, substitute Is very strong in Emerald, It blocks most stat lowering moves, most status moves and, like of all of that wasn t enough, It also blocks intimidate which Is huge if you are using a physical attacker

Not sure how much of a difference the split would make if we keep the same moveset, problem was that i did not have good moves untill a while into the game

@Kronaast Most of its moves are physical so you're using the better of the two attacking stats.

It would have been a nice idea to make alomamola the Evolution of luvdisc but instead they are both meh single stage pokemons

I thought ninetails could learn solarbeam which can be good for wallace and would have made the fight against him easier but that was not the case, hypnosis could be good since it buys a few turns and for sure would have made the run easier

@Kronaast I would do the same mistake too, because almost any fire type could pull it off ever since gen 2.🤔 But I guess that Ninetales was meant to be more like a ghost fire type because it gets a lot of ghost moves in later gens too ,in order to make it have more of an ominous vibe, well,that's my theory.

Getting a specific hidden power is hard since i don't really calculate that at the start of the game when chosing the starter, substitute could have been an option to dodge leech seed but other than that every other move would have broken it in one hit

I m not sure if It works with king rock since that Is an effect from a held item not a move, i also was expecting to use bulk up and headbutt for most of the game but once i saw the movepool i had to come up with something different

@Kronaast Yup,clam mind is a bit odd for that pokemon, maybe it would make sense in gen 4(?)🤔

I was hoping that the good typing could carry but that was not the cas in the earth game when i still did not have many good moves

@Kronaast For first stage, Pokémon it's not that bad. Slowbro basically is better, but not much as a solo runner,but as a physical tank in your team that can hit moderately hard, whenever needed.

at least i was able to finish the game with this one

100base atk Is not bad but without ant powerful stab moves and no boosting It s not quite enough to carry in the late game

@Kronaast You got a point there,but it could have been better in gen 4 ,with fire no longer being exclusively a special type.

@bateltheassistant if i m not mistaken rapidash gets Fire blitz which Is a very good move in Exchange for some hp

@@Kronaast Flare blitz is a great move physical for Rapidash that can utilize it's attack stat.

I guess only having attack and speed may not be the best choice in all runs, i'm not sure how much iron fist could have helped, midgame would have been faster and easier by boosting mach punch and sky uppercut but by the time the league came around i did not have those moves anymore, the extra damage might have made me consider sky uppercut over return but the type matchups in the league are not as good for fighting moves (as in there are more pokemons that resist them)

@Kronaast Oh, I didn't know that sky uppercut gets a boost form the iron fist ability too. Maybe it would have made the routing a bit different. But then again the elemental punches are special up until gen 4 ,so maybe you wouldn't have used them in the league, other than ice punch for drake.🤔

@@bateltheassistantyea but i dont think i would have kept ICE punch only for one elite 4, It is kinda useless against the other 3 and Champion

Without the mightienas i think the team acqua and magma's crobats would not have been as much of a pain, with more attack i would have been able to oneshot them probabily

@@Kronaast Probably,but even if hitmonlee is over leveled it can't take too many hits from flying and psychic moves. Hitmonlee's strength is it's weakness in the end, that's why bulk up is such a game changer.
