Our first time riding RideLondon event held in 2022.
This is a new route coming from the City of London to Essex Loop. Due to the high volume of participants, the 100 Miles Tickets do get sold very quick and also we were not fit enough to ride and finish it, hence it is a great decision that we took the 60 miles instead.
The atmosphere at the event is exhilarating.
Everyone can come and participate in the event, and you can use any bike, obviously, there are some advantages of using road-specific and lighter bikes than using others, but any bike will do, as long as it helps to motivate you.
If it is your first time attempting such an event have someone with you who can raise your morale throughout the ride, it will be difficult around halfway to nearly end but worth it.
We will be riding next year's event in 2023, you could join us!

What are the pros and cons?
Based on my experience it is smoother to pedal when using the hollowtech. It rains majority of the time here in London, England and the amount of salt water do damage the square taper, making it rusty and gritty when pedalling. The time that I do to maintain the bike is far less compared to square taper.

Hi Bro, got it from Halfords (motoring shop here in UK) I used to see them from Amazon too unfortunately I can’t remember how much they selling it as I bought them for a reduced price

Hi, size is true to fit, ideal for long feet compare to wide fitting, which you will find uncomfortable. I am size 8 UK this fits perfectly with winter socks and summer socks.

Have this bike in size M and that rattling sound of the cable is a bit annoying at first but doesn’t bother me know after 14 months. Asked the staff in shop I bought the bike any ideas to sort the cable noise but no. What is this internal foam sleeve and how do they get it. I am in Dublin. Great gravel/endurance bike
You can buy it from Amazon or Wiggle. I normally used them for carbon framed too, especially when there is bumpy ride, it does reduce the noise. Be warned though, since installation, I haven’t replaced the foam or even the outer cables. Hence I am not sure how easy it will take to remove it out, without full stripping the whole bike.

Doing some small upgrades on my commuting bike. Decided to change my bottom bracket to hollowtech.
It is more difficult than most tyres, but you only need a few zip ties to secure the sat sections next to the last part, then use any lever to do the last ply. As for winter commuting, gatorskin is the worst choice, as it doesn’t grip on water or ice at all, not the slightest level, I had a few crashes over black ice using gatorskin, plus the compound and anti puncture belt is too hard for freezing temperature. Changed to GP 4 seasons and it grips way better.
Gatorskin wire is the most difficult tyre to install for me, sometimes it does pinch puncture the inner tube.

What air chamber size do you need
Hi, they do come with 32 tyres, I am not sure what were the inner tubes installed as I didn’t replace or remove them. By assuming the size of the tyres, it could have 30-32 inner tubes installed. Thanks
Can I acutally buy the shoe for walking around ? Like a normal shoes ? I dont cycle but I like the look of this one Please reply
You can do it but not advisable to do so. The sole of the shoes is very stiff and it is heavy, I actually tried to use it for a day walking around the City. I end up with aching legs and feet were sore. Also had some sharp pain under my feet, Im not sure how to describe the sharp pain, but it feels like there is a pebble/stone inside the shoes when walking (could be the cleats) If you like the design of the shoes try checking on Samba Trainers.
